I havn't played the first game, I hadn't even heard about it. But after seeing some videos and hearing about some of the stuff they've worked on this game seems like it'll be a really good fun game. Something I wish Fable could have been after TLC. I don't have any thoughts that this game will just be terrible. Hopefully DEMONS and w/e the crafting thing is called will be what I think they are, I'd love to know more about how they work excactly and what you can do with them. I know the spell crafting involves cards and such but i'm more concerned about weapons and armor crafting.

i played the first a little bit but not too much. it was definitely no masterpiece and i didn't really care for it. that being said the second one looks like a very ambitious title. i hope that they can overcome the hurdles that the first game left for them and make a truly entertaining game.

They posted a couple of good previews at Destructoid that really show how much they care about fixing the flaws of the first game and making sure that this sequel is a lot more polished and fun:

despite the flaws of the first one, I still had a lot of fun with it. Mayhap I'll purchase this installment.

I agree with blueboykc - the first Two Worlds wasn't ever a GotY contender, but it's still a pretty great open-world RPG once you look past its surface flaws and get into the meat of the game. Most people's complaints were about the horrible framerates but that was fixed with a patch later.

With this sequel, it looks like they're learning from the mistakes of the first one by giving this one more development time after the decision to extend it from just an expansion pack to a full-fledged sequel, and using a whole new graphics engine to give the sequel more polish. They seem to be putting a lot more time into making sure they fix the mistakes of the first game, so hopefully that means this sequel will get more accolades (both critically and commercially) than the first one got.

The thing that concerns me is that not many people played the first one, like me, so if I buy this one; will I be lost and confused as far as the narrative is concerned?

The first two worlds was a horrible disappointment believe me I played it all the way to the final boss. Given the first game I don't have much hope for the second, but I guess as the saying goes.... there is no where to go but up......... and hit your head on the locked door that leads to no where.

If they are smart, they will re do the first one, then sell them both in a bundle pack for 60 bucks, thats the only way to get fans at this point.

I rented the original because it got terrible reviews but I just love RPGs. It was a very bad game, but I hope that this is a major improvement. You can never have too many good RPGs.

im not going to sit here and defend the first game to every tom dick and troll that either didnt really even play it or didnt give it a fair chance (playing it for more than an hour after the big patch)...i loved it spent a lot of time playing it..i do admit it had its problems but it was still a really fun game if you looked deeper than the graphics, voice acting and bugs...but i cant wait for the second one..

Are you kidding me.. The first one was sooooo bad why would you spend money on a second one?

The first one was one of the worst games ever made

I don't think it was a good idea to make it a direct sequel, because not very many people played the original. I tried the original but it had such terrible framerate issues I couldn't take it.

I was one of the few people who played the first one, it was crap. Hopefully this one will be a lot better.
