Ubisoft might be taking their time with the third installment in their Assassin’s Creed franchise, but the publisher has revealed that it does have some very definite ideas about what’s next for series.
As Ubisoft associate producer Jean-Francois Boivin recently told Gamerzines, Assassin’s Creed 3 will feature a new hero and a new setting, as has been the case with the previous two iterations in the series. Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood of course continues and concludes the story of Assassin’s Creed II star Ezio Auditore, and will by Ubisoft's own admission be the last AC game for at least two years.

I'm cool with the American Revolution setting, a barely visited setting but it's probably gonna be during the French Revolution since Ubisoft is French, but I'm more for a Pirate setting ever since Armada of the Damned got cancelled I felt that the Pirate Genre especially the free roaming one hasn't been visited enough.

I think there should be at least three more games I like the american revelution idea. they should not go backwards in time however so maybe the american revelution and then maybe one set as the mofia in 1920's? for the last game it should be only desmond fighting to destroy the templare and then discovering some secret to end the game series with a clip of him and all the other assassins spirits walking off into the sunset just an idea but i think it would work because it shows a follow up of all the time periodes

I think it should be set in Japan, in the times the film "the last samurai" was set. Here we have a chance to have a variety of weapons and abilities and so forth, as cultures such as Japan, china and USA collide. I think the Brotherhood of assassins should be samurai against the Templars as the revolutionary Japanese army. The assassins being samurai allows the main character to have really cool traditional weapons, and the clothing is ideal, especially with the hakama. As I practice Aikido my self (Japanese martial art) , I know it can be perfect for the character as it can look elagant and effortless when used in combat against a number of enemies.

i think it should take place sometime after Altair's time period. Maybe around when Mount Vesuvius erupted (i know its really far back but it could be cool). Just imagine Altair going back way before he was born. This is how it should go down: The leader of the assassins back then had a family. (remember the volcano erupted in Naples, Italy) They had a house by the ocean. And what happened was when the volcano erupted, he took his family and sailed them off and stayed in Naples to die. It turns out that they landed into Sicily. Then the story could take place in Sicily for a while. Then a few more years past and they travel to go somewhere. That somewhere is the Middle East where Altair is. Altair's mother was Italian and just imagine him going back in time and looking at his and his mother's ancestors. It would be really cool for the main protoganist to be someone before the 10th century. That's my opinon.

What I think is, the next AC should have new skills such as using two one-hand weapons at the same time. Like having a dual sword/dagger/axe. There should be new/modified weapons: A long range rifle and a new semi-automatic crossbow that can fire a barrage of arrows in seconds. A shield that can be used while using a sword/spear/axe/dagger. New war machines and the ability to use the war machines while roaming around the cities. There should be more places that you can visit: Rome, Venice, Florence, Tuscany, and other new places/country. Those are my ideas.

I just got the new issue of game informer with the cover picture of an older Eizo in a all Black assassian attire. The title sentence is " Ezio now over 50 years old, comes to Masyaf seeking wisdom left behind by his ancestor Altair and to seek advice if the life he lived was the one he wanted to live . " it goes on to say that Ezio is older and wiser and much more deadly. its key phrase is " Ezio was the learner now hes the Master "This issue has A LOT of pictures of the game and story boards and it looks like the majority of the game is going to take place Masyaf, and Constantinople

Japan.... To my knowledge Tokyo is the largest city in the world, but thats not the only reason I'd like to see Japan in the next AC. Having a Ninja, a true assassin, and being able to utilize his abilities in different ways than altair and Ezio. maybe being able to jump higher and be able to do more than a double wall jump would define what we call a ninja. I would use a Samurai in my description but they're not really assassins.
If the Japan or China thing doesn't hit you, then I'd go with Zulu Land, South Africa. Around the time of Shaka Zulu, or India. Rio, Brazil would look nice

The ending of AC Brotherhood is kinda bit sad..Desmond and Lucy are dead....and i don't know how AC3's gonna looks like...I like Ezio as a character(Desmond).!

I don t think it ll be a bad idea to have it during the founding times of America, or the New World exploration (John Smith, Pochahontas anyone?) . I could definitely see an italian (or whatever) assassin concept in my head that would go with the fashion of the time.
Let s think about this a different way though. What skills and information would Desmond need to go back in time for still? Well, first, there s the locaiton of the temple, though the DLC reveals to us that we have to do something in New York (past or present). So, naturally, Desmond s training would need to involve a larger, city-style method of free running, climbing large buildings (not just Borgia towers, which pale in comparison to sky scrapers). We also need to figure out where this temple is. Is it in New York? Maybe! Is it somewhere else? Also maybe! Point is, Desmond needs to learn where it is and, in the process, teach himself how to master the art of being a master assassin in an urban environment.
Also, in this game, we have to close up the Abstergo thing, stop the end of the world, figure out where the pieces of Eden are and do somethin with them, tie up those that came before s mysterious past, and somehow figure out how all that plays together.
When they say that it may focus on Desmond s timeline more, I m excited. We ve spent a lot of time exploring Desmond s past, learning his secrets, learning about the world both in big and in small ways. It s time that the delve into the past take the back burner to the game s true storyline Desmond s role in saving the world. Time and time again, we see aspects of Ezio s life where he knows it is not meant for him, messages through him to Desmond. The game s have built this mythic, legendary destiny for Desmond and we have yet to see him take more than a few steps on his true path.

Colonial America would be great because cities like Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Charlestown resembled european cities at the time with there clustered buildings and row housing similar to Rome or Jerusalem for that matter. Although there are small in comparison if you were able to travel between cities it would easily make up for the size difference. As well as the fact that many of the founding fathers were free masons with there rituals and beliefs shrouded in mystery. It could make for a good story. George Washington also had an extensive spy network in those cities, and how cool would it be to be working for George Washington hunting down Benedict Arnold or some english governor. There is some serious potential in the "New World." Even if they didn't use it for the next one it would be sick to see. they could also explore the relationship between the american revolutionaries and the french. maybe starting ac3 in france then moving to north america in ac3: new world or ac4

Think about what people hve been saying about Spain and "The New World".. Just put the pieces together, Conquistadors taking over the native Americans. And Then, When we're in the new world, we go to the mayan civilization.. Which is where the story is leading anyway

The French Revolution a lot has happened in that period .Or in Bosnia and Herzegovina or Serbia at the period when they were under control by Ottoman empire and Venetian Republic.You could play as a brigand (''Hajduk'' in Serbian) or a ambusher(''Uskok'' in Serbian).
I prefer Ambushers because they worked in the shadows and were patrolling the border between Venetian Republic and Dalmatia and they were planing a lot of ambushes and assassinations . That's my opinion.
