BioWare has announced that game testing is currently underway for their galactic MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic. If you want to take part, but haven’t signed up yet, not to worry. There’s still hope (and none of that old hope either).
To participate, you have to be an Old Republic community member, so if you want in, get over there and sign up. If you are already a member, but haven’t received your invite yet, just be patient. Worst-case scenario: you don’t get to play your most anticipated game of the year many months before its release…I mean, an invite could be coming shortly.
The first wave of testing will be conducted within North America, but BioWare plans to expand the subsequent phases to other territories as well.
Anyone out there snag a testing spot?

SERIOUSLY, it is sooo lame. In the beta testing only people with connections to people in the company or their distributors have been allowed to test it so far.... companies are lame that way. This info is from people testing... so shame on bioware... I love bioware's games but I think that is shameful.

For those of you wondering how to get into the beta, the best way to do it is by being more active in the community (Forums, posts, etc.) It seems likely that Bioware will chose those who can prove that they are really dedicated to the game, and dont just want to play it to take some other persons chance away.

yea ok ppl have said "this mmo will kill wow" two years later "o man this one will kill wow" three years later "no seriously this one will kill wow"
weve seen all these mmo's pass and none of them have taken wow mainly because ppl who quit wow to go play another mmo will come back anywhere between one month to one year later. trust me this game will not kill wow although it will probably come closer then any other mmo...besides id rather have KOTOR 3 anyway.
