‘Dead Rising 2’ Impressions

Capcom has treated Dead Rising 2 fans to two welcomed bits of game info today in the form of TapeItOrDie.com, a new promo site for the upcoming zombie slaughter sequel, and the revelation of the game's final cover art.

The new site chronicles the insane adventures of Lance, Gretchen, Wallace, and Johnny Pipes, four diehard fans of DR2’s zombie-blood sport, Terror is Reality XVII. The site will be regularly updated with new game details, videos, profiles, and the like, which may or may not make the recently announced delay a bit easier to swallow.

Capcom also released the game’s final box art, which you can see below:

What the hell? Did they Photoshop in the background? It doesn't look like it's connected to any part of the action in the foreground. That's disorienting and stupid.

Still , the game looks awesome.

I was hoping today would have been the release of Case 0 on Xbox Live Marketplace. That would have been great.

I really wanted to like Dead Rising, but I just didn't feel like I had enough time to explore the mall and play around with all the incredibly fun stuff because I had to go save people. I really wish they would have done away with the time crunch aspect and given us more ability to run around with a lego head.

I'm a member of Capcom Unity on Facebook. For 36 days they have been counting down for the "adventure to begin"... And this is what that adventure was. People where hoping it was some big game announcement, but got this junk site that crashed right away and was down for 3-5 hours today.
