Never have played Civ before, but from what I have seen and heard this looks like a game I would love to get my hands on..

This is one of the games I am truely looking forward to. I agree, BtS (Beyond the Sword) expansion for Civ IV was a very solid game and the modding community brings a whole new layer to the game. I am glad we moved away from an old fashion square tile map to a hexagonic map. I will miss, though, the stacks of DOOM. I wonder how the computer's AI (and outselves) will react to the new system, though.

They better make accessible to the modding community. Civ IV would've been nothing without mods like Quot Capita, Overlord, Fall from Heaven, etc.

OMG this better not be for consoles, otherwise they're gonna have to dumb down the whole game for kids that call each other derogatory homosexual slurs all day.

OMG this better be for the 360 also

I hope they did improve the passing, on 10 you'd get passes thrown in the wrong direction to absolutely nobody at all. Also I hope they include more national teams from concacaf.
