IO Interactive have started sending out codes for the limited Xbox 360 exclusive demo for their gritty crime sequel Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days. The demo is currently only available to players who signed up at the game’s official site or are friends of the game’s official YouTube channel.
The vouchers are currently being sent out, so if you signed up, keep your eye on your inbox. As for the demo, here’s what you can expect:
- A brief look at the brutal single-player Story Mode
- Ability to sharpen heist skills in new Arcade Mode
- All-encompassing access to the highly anticipated Multiplayer modes:
- Fragile Alliance - up to eight players - celebrated multiplayer experience based on Greed, Betrayal & Revenge, extended with more risk and more rewards. Work together as a team to escape with as much loot as possible, within a four minute time period. Players will need to move fast, if they decide to turn on the team and make off with the money on their own. Die and respawn as a cop to prevent the heist.
- Undercover Cop – up to eight players - adds an extra level of paranoia to Fragile Alliance as teams are infiltrated by a mole set to stop the alliance.
- Cops & Robbers – up to 12 players - Creates a new team-mode dynamic with Robbers trying to protect their loot and Cops trying to retrieve it.
The demo will be available exclusively on 360 for a limited time before it becomes publically available sometime prior to the game's release. A PC and PlayStation 3 demo is planned as well. Check out our photo gallery for some screenshots of the demo in action.
Anyone received their demo voucher yet? How is it? (The demo, not the voucher.)
Should the need arise, feel free to E-Mail me your tips, suggestions, and/or personal philosophies, or follow me on Twitter.

I played the demo last night and from what i experience was pretty good so far. The demo is a bit longer and they were generous enough to throw in arcade mode (which I had a blast playing by the way). The difficulty is balanced in my book although with the film grain it can be pretty had to spot enemies and the reticule sometimes blends too well with the environment. Overall I'd say the whole experience worth it this time around.

Have been playing the demo and have to say it is really good so far. I like that you can disable the shaky camera from the options menu. I like the shaky camera, but it would make me get a headache if I left it on for too long.
*They really need to fix the aiming system. The aiming itself is fine, but I really wish you could zoom in just a little when aiming. If they fix the it so it zooms in some, it will be a sure buy for me. The sniper rifle did zoom in, but just a little, and not even down the scope. So please make zooming possible in the game!

I got my demo key this morning. I was a huge fan of the first game even with its flaws but this demo shows that IO interactive actually listened to complains and FIXED THE COVER AND AIMING SYSTEM.
cops and robbers mode is the real pull of the multiplayer, and its very very addicting, think heroin.
