For those World of Warcraft diehards out there, you most likely already know this, but in case you hadn’t heard or you’ve somehow managed to survive without an Internet connection for the past few hours (ha, yeah right), Blizzard has started sending out invites to the closed beta for their upcoming expansion World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.
Lucky beta testers can look forward to contributing to the betterment of Cataclysm…you know, while they isolate themselves from any and everyone they know or care about, for as Blizzard cofounder Mike Morhaime explained in a press release:
"Our focus with Cataclysm has been to build on the knowledge we've gained through the previous expansions to deliver the best, most compelling World of Warcraft content for our players to date. Gathering focused feedback during the beta test will go a long way in helping us reach that goal when we launch Cataclysm later this year.”
Anyone out there receive their beta code yet? Who all is still waiting?

While they send out beta invites everyone should be careful about the emails they get cause people are trying very hard to scam for account names and passwords. I just so happen to get a fake email that looks very legit from blizzard but inside is a link to a bad website that wants your account info. These emails range from saying the account is being banned/suspended, someone has changed the password or even beta invites.

For anyone interested, http://www.worldofraids.com/ has been doing some write ups on Cataclysm Lore and some of the starting area experiences. Lots of Spoilers so be warned.
As far as a beta key for me, I need to anxiously wait. My time will come. It will. It will.
