@droovi - I thought I had read somewhere that the old Xcom games have nothing to do with the new at all. I'm not saying it was a waste to get the old ones, but i'm not sure it's going to give you the same feeling as Fallout 1&2 to Fallout 3.

This is going to be a game i'm looking forward to.
Making the missions in 3'rd person is a giant bet, they are removing half of the strategic element which made the old games awesome. That just means that they have put in much more work on the strategy outside of combat.
And the decision to make this an PC/Xbox game does not bode well for the strategic side of the game, simply because of the limitations of the console controller.
Keeping those things in mind, I am going to try out the demo and/or torrent the game, before giving any money for it.
Good luck in development, remember do it right the first time, nobody likes to wait for patches.

Glad to see Xcom is back.
I wonder how many ppl rember this series since ithas been gone for such a long time.

Haven't played any of the x-com games yet, but I just bought all of them for a total of 3.74 on Steam (woot!). Can't wait to get started. Fallout translated into FPS well so hopefully this will too.
