PlayStation 3 owners who have been experiencing issues with the Medal of Honor beta will be pleased to hear that EA has released a patch for the game that is currently waiting to make your beta experience much more enjoyable.
Beta players on PC and PS3 have been complaining about a variety of problems since the beta launched earlier this week, but the PS3 is the first console to receive the patch. The PC patch will roll out soon, and will include custom tweaks such as “a more PC friendly menu, toned down HUD, weapon recoil tweaks, and balancing fixes.”
The PS3 patch brings a bunch of fixes, including:
- Various in-game crashes (including scoreboard access bugs and support actions received while using an AK47 or AKs74u)
- Improved performance with greatest gains in crowded environments
- Improved matchmaking configurations
- Improved join-friend functionality
The MOH team also said today via Twitter that they “are not ignoring Xbox 360 players. We are trying to get the MOH beta out as fast as we can.”
Who is currently playing the MOH beta? How is the patch working out for you?
Should the need arise, feel free to E-Mail me your tips, suggestions, and/or personal philosophies, or follow me on Twitter.

Now if only they could fix the temporary freeze that happens every time I'm about to die... It's so annoying!

@calaban seeing as the beta is online, then you wouldn't have to worry about how you'd get the patch and at the same time there has rarely ever been a game with an issue leaving it unplayable offline, so the need is lost, i for one have never heard of such an issue on a ps3 game although i have on xbox360 (oblivion) dont know if there were any others

This is why I dreaded the day when consoles became more like computers with hard drives. Now you have to install game data on the hard drives. I want it to play games, that's it. I also want the games to be finished. I don't want to have to patch a console game. Now the studios can release games that have bugs in them to get them out on time, knowing they can just fix it later as long as the game is somewhat playable. What if you don't have access to the internet to download the patch for a game? You are screwed.

They will probably hold back maps that are already on the disc like they did with BC2. I am not as interested in MoH after watching and reading all of these previews. Maybe they can turn things around before it releases.

I hope they patch that second freeze when someone kills you.. Also if you want to play the Beta you can use this thread below to get it. You just need a Gamespot account and EA account. I didn't really like the Beta. Unless they fixed it you can use a Starcraft beta code to get into it.

Played the beta last night and I loved it didn't have any problems at all. But some of us just get lucky sometimes.

I downloaded it last night and it was virtually unplayable because of all the crashes. Post-patch, I haven't had one crash. There's still some strange lag where the game freezes for a second every time you get killed.

I pre-ordered the game and loving the beta, but i have had game freezes so this is great

your kidding right a public beta is just a demo of the game a closed beta would have been much better to get more feedback and less playing and ranking up and more time looking for bugs, server stress and all the fun things that are done before the game hits shelves just look at the PS3 leaderboards the top guy last i checked played 20hours and if he/her spent as much time looking for bugs instead of playing there would more feedback and more patches
leakime
I assumed when they announced the Beta that it was going to be an open beta but since it's not I haven't gotten access.
The Monkey King
The beta is only for people who pre-ordered the game, so its a pretty small crowd. Having a full-blown public beta would be better, considering how many bugs seem to be in this thing.
