Keiji Inafune isn't only the creator of Mega Man, he's also a film writer and director. Inafune oversaw production of Zombrex Dead Rising sun (yes, that's the official title, according to Capcom), which was previously a Japan-only production -- but now it's coming to the US, too.
The official plot summery, via Capcom:
"Zombrex Dead Rising Sun follows two brothers as they try to escape the zombie outbreak that has hit Japan. Exploring the darker side of human nature and filmed entirely on location in Japan, Zombrex Dead Rising Sun, both pays homage to the zombie movies of the 1960s and '70s and provides links with the videogame world of Dead Rising."
Zombrex is the fictional drug used to combat the virus within the Dead Rising world. Zombrex is able to put off the permanent spread of the disease in an individual, but there is no permanent cure. Every 12 hours, a new application of Zombrex is required to avoid total zombiefication.
Right now, it's unclear how Zombrex Dead Rising Sun will actually be distributed (Capcom's website? Xbox Live?), but it's apparently coming ahead of Dead Rising 2's release in late August.

Wow gotta saw for a Japanese horror film...not impressed at all. I know , I know video game translations never make a good movie....well apparently doesn't make them any better than we do lol If I can get it on Netflix, I will probably watch it but otherwise probably not

Why make a zombie movie based on a zombie game thats based on zombie movies? You could take pretty much any zombie movie that has weapons in it(which one doesnt?)and tak DEAD RISING on the title instead and youve got the movie. Ya DEAD RISING had some cultists in it or something but seriously who watched those cut scenes?

im all for the english dub version, dead rising had some really funny parts in the first game.

Really, in first person, didn't anybody watch doom, look how that ended up. Also does a nurse in japan really wear that outside the hospital. it would of been easier just trying to retell frank west story.
