Last week at E3, we met up with David Abzug, Lead Designer on Red Faction: Armageddon. We got him to open up a bit on the game's new setting, new characters, and everything else that will be new about our life on Mars.

This game looks incredible. Yeah it might be the same old schtick about using mineing weapons however the concept of destroying everything and then rebuilding it to use in different ways to continue on through the game sounds amazing! this looks like a must buy game and hopefully it gives the franchise the kick start it deserves

So now we're killing parasitic aliens with mining weapons? That's original.

Think the game looks great, and really enjoyed guerilla. I think that they should include all the packs from multiplayer into single player, and add grenades and plasma weapons. Also online Co-op. And not so much using mining equipment as weapons but more using military equipment as weapons. Also use of some aerial vehicle.

how about telling us why they runied red fraction why not keep them the way the very first games was like red fraction 3?

I don't understand all of the hate this is getting, over being put in tunnels (it's sounds like it has a lot in common with the original Red Faction on PS2, which was also in tunnels), I've kinda been waiting for this day to see the potential of that first game realized. I actually have high hopes for this title, and look forward to it, although I prefer the 1st person perspective for this (that is actually a minor complaint, and probably won't have any bearing on if I actually enjoy this game, as much as seeing elements from the first RF make it into this title).

red faction guerilla sucked major league and this looks as if they are taking the suckiness to whole new level. EPIC FAIL THQ!!!!! im suprised guerilla sold as many copies as it did. i played it for about 2 hours and returned the used copy back 2 gamestop. it was just the same thing over and over. what a waist of time and money.

I loved Red Faction Guerilla so I am really looking forward to Armageddon. Guerilla had some of the best multiplayer I have played and the single player destruction was insane.

Why didn't you ask them why the ruined the game?
Why didn't you ask what where they smoking when they came up with the idea that people want to play a game in a repetitive restrictive cave enviroment that critics will hate and gamers will hate?
Why would they look at the success of the last game selling over a million copies and thought " why don't we take out everything that made the game Unique fun and people enjoyed" This game will sell like crap! Why would you take it to the caves? There are no real interesting structures that could be built underground! This game looks awful!
LOST MY SALE THQ! You will realize how dumb of idea this was when you see the NDP numbers!

why didn't you ask why they ruined the game form making it a fun free open experince of destruction on Mars to some lame cave game that critics will hate on and will sell poorly?
Why didn't you ask them "what are you thinking?"
Why didn't you ask them why they would take everything that made the last game a sleeper hit and take away everything the fans loved and went in a direction of a studio closer? Sales prediction: about a 120,000 which is less then 1.2 million.
They lost my sale!

Wouldn't living underground cause people to go blind or catch carbon monoxide sickness.

I hope being underground does not make it feel like your in a bubble. They better have full dirt deformation.

How about add a mechanic that allows u to dig tunnels underground?
