Sega's Mario is definitely Sonic, and with not one but four
new Sonic titles coming out soon, you're going to have to pick them all up, or separate the wheat from the chaff. Sonic Colors
is a non-storyline title, but for my money it was one of the more imaginative titles in the bunch. You get to turn Sonic into a drill and a laserbeam, for pete's sake. I checked the game out during E3, and found a lot to my liking:
"One of the Park worlds we played on was a virtual Candyland, and the surface consists of multiple cake layers (including a jellybean layer, naturally), and Sonic plows down through the icing and moist cake layers beautifully. Honestly, I would've been happy if they'd turned this game into Sonic Drill Dash. That's how fun that power is."
