Resident Evil Revelations Debut Teaser »

Capcom has long touted the prowess of its MT Framework engine, the technology backbone behind Resident Evil 5, Lost Planet 2 and even the upcoming Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. It’s capable of producing some gorgeous graphics across multiple platforms, including Nintendo’s upcoming 3DS, based on a new report stemming from Japanese gaming website 4Gamer. Most impressive.

The publisher is reportedly showing off the 3DS demo of Resident Evil: Revelations to from last week’s E3 select Japanese gaming press. 4Gamer’s writeup, translated by Andriasang, mentions the upcoming Resident Evil game is, in fact, using the very same MT Framework technology.

That would explain why Resident Evil: Revelations raised more than a few eyebrows. Though Capcom was only showing a brief cut-scene, not gameplay, the character models were incredibly impressive, essentially appropriately scaled down (but still recognizable) models from Resident Evil 5.
