I could go on and on about what BioWare's Star Wars: The Old Republic looks and plays like, but that wouldn’t be nearly as exciting or visually stimulating as seeing it in action for yourselves. Well, thanks to the kind folks at BioWare, you can now feast your Empire-hating eyes on this exclusive three-part video demo of the game in action. Force-push play now!

Star wars... of course its gonna be great!

they still havent talked much about how item drops work, or if there's raiding and other such mechanics, have they?
to think a game could match warcrafts depth might be wishful thinking.

My newest biggest concern is the death penality. It seems very EZMODE. In the SITH demo video, she dies... and was able to "resapwn" instantly at full health? what kind of death penality is that? So, I can close my eyes and win... and if I die - simply respawn.
I know this is a demo and we are only seeing demos. However, I have been burned by allot of promises and failed MMOs lately. Remember these hopes... Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, Age of Conan, Warhammer Online, Mortal Online, and Star Trek Online? Most of these games are shells of what they were at release (population wise).
It seems the average game company rushes to production and hopes people stay for the ride. Sure this is Boiware and sure it looks great. However, will it keep my interest and I LOVE SCI FI and Star Wars (much better than faries and elves and dwarves)!
I dont want the game to be hardcore like EvE, but I dont want the game to be EZMODE like Star Trek Online. I want to be challenges, experience good stories, and have fun with my friends. It does look promising.

No offense but posting that WoW may have some competition is getting old... The last time it was said was Warhammer Online, which blew, before that it was Age of Connan, which also blew. I'm not trying to be a dick but you people at G4 really need to stop talking about your heart-ons for every single crappy game you saw previewed at E3, mediocre games now seem to be "the in" for the gaming world which is really a shame.

alright i don't want to hate, but I can't apreciate. or even remotely think its good. It's not that its an mmo, those r ok, but i wanted somthing on the console(fans of kotor 1 and 2, like me have been waiting for like 8 years now) I can't even agree that the art style is good. I love bioware, mass effect 1 and 2 r god, and kotor 1 and 2 will always have a place in my gaming heart, but this isn't what i thought bioware would do next. may be good, but i won't know, cause i wont get. I just still keep hoping bioware will make kotor 3, and finally bring real-time realistic lightsaber duels to the 360 or ps3.
I understand that this will probably challenge WoW, but i could care less.
Kotor 3 will I ever see your godly face??

Omg I cant wait to get my hands on this game, but the 3DS is also coming out in March 2011 so im a bit tangled up on which to buy lol but it'll probably be Star Wars: The Old Republic since I;m buying the new 360 for Christmas.

As someone that does not care for MMO's, I am glad that I can play it single player if I want to. Sure as was stated I may miss out on some stuff, but that is one of the best things I could have heard about this game.
So far from the first screens till now the game has improved a lot. I am looking forward to trying this out. Hope I get included in the beta.

Actually if you look at newer game play the style of the character models have been slimmed down some and look less like clone wars than the first gameplay footage did.
i worry anytime someone says wow killer about a game i'm looking forward too.
everyone talks about space fights. id like to know about ground vehicles/mounts which has been a staple of all things starwars, except in biowares kotor games.
Concerned about the easy button mode talked about for jedi/sith in comparison to smuggler/bountyhunter etc. Not that it will keep me from donning the T helmet.
munnpope
why they do that, if the game dont come out in 2010 stop teasing us
c'mon

I would agree to say I liked Jar-Jar Binks to beta test this game. I wouldn't like him at all... but I would say I would.... It's almost that worth it.

I hope that they don't neglect Mac gamers like most MMOs do. Otherwise, we're stuck playing World of Warcraft until Bioware decides we're worthy enough...

There goes my life...I never thought an MMO would get me, but this is looking pretty spectacular.

Not really a fan of MMOs, but this game looks pretty good. However I still don't understand what those amazing trailer/short films have to do with the game. I just like seeing in-game visuals and gameplay. Why spend money, time, or resources on something that isn't necessary for the success of a game? The short films are still awesome on there own, but they just don't do the actual game any justice.
