Those who are upset that it wasen't a more retro clone, you have to understand that this game was made to show of the full capabilities of the 3DS in my opinion.
Aside from that, I had a feeling that Project Sora was in the works on a Kid Icarus remake, I mean take a look at Sora from Kingdom Hearts. You can't tell me that he doesn't even slightly resemble Pit even when he was in Super Smash Brothers Brawl. However, I had no idea that they would make it for the 3DS.

I was skeptical about the new 3DS but this game along with Star Fox and Zelda Orcarina have sold me. I can't wait to play this and the trailer looked amazing (within the limits of a portable device) in non-3D form to boot!
