Ghost Recon: Future Soldier ups the ante where the recent James Bond movies failed by giving you a ton of new gadgets, including smart ammunition, exoskeletons, and the ability to turn invisible. Plus, you know, the ability to fill things full of lead.
The ocean has receded due to "global warming, things like that, and you're sneaking up on what looks like a dilapidated boardwalk on what used to be a thriving beachfront community. The landscape is peppered with enemy soliders, and you'll be using the invisibility a lot to stay out of sight. Speaking of the invisibility, you look blurry rather than invisible, like a portion of a painting that's been hosed down with turpentine. Apparently enemy soldier don't notice.
They've added a cross-com to the game which allows you to see the enemy locations across the battlefield, and there's a lot of vertical movement to the game as well, taking you up to get a view from above. In the video, the soldier onscreen took out an enemy chopped pilot who was hovering over the battlefield with some sort of heavy vehicle in tow. A blistering firefight commenced, with exploding windows and seemingly intelligent enemy A.I.
The game gets full four player co-op and stereoscopic 3D support, with a shot of awesome.
