Microsoft closed out its E3 2010 press conference with the price and the date for the Kinect device. The controller-less control system will be on sale on Nov 4th in North America. Hey, that's just in time for the holiday shopping season! At least ifteen titles will be available at launch.

Now that the big three has made their presentations. It was more than obvious that MS had the most to offer. G4 is really showing their true colors with comments about how Xbox didn't really show anything?? Are you serious?? 3 new exclusive games, one of which is a brand new title from Metal Gear! New ESPN app for Xbox Live, which was awesome. Not to mention a brand new and improved 360, which nobody predicted or even knew about. And of course, Kinect which was by far the best piece of hardware shown at the event other than the Nintendo 3DS. The Kinect is doing so much more than the Wii or the Playstation Move. Which based on sales this holiday, might just change the entire gaming industry. Because in the next year or two, we will see hands free technology being introduced by Nintendo and Playstation. Maybe not in the sense of gaming, but without a doubt in the way you browse the Homepage or how media is viewed.

So dont assume the worst. Gamestop will set it up eventually and I dont buy anything, except Gears 3, until Ive demo'd it. What upsets me is the hypocrisy of the G4 commentators. MS showed Gars3 gameplay, codename:Kingdoms, and exclusive franchise with ESPN, NFL will come around, and the realization of home media control that we have been dreaming of for decades. And all they can say is MS did really show us anything good, but Rayman is apperently enough to make Adam go into an orgasmic seizure. Pathetic.

Voice recognition is nice but I have the a scene in my mind of people trying to yell over the tv so the Kinect can hear them.

Incredibly different from the Wii. With XBOX fast becoming the main console choice for Online media including HD this voice controlled control will make the xbox them main media center in the home. With no controller. I can see where future applications will tie your xbox to your Win7 pc, home network. This is awsome. PS3-haters suck it.

ok so microsoft spends years making sure they have some of the best and for sure the most popular games in the industry in order to beat out ps3. and then they decide to release natal (im not calling it anything else) with not ONE SINGLE ACTUAL GAME. the 15 games advertised and not one is something that isn't a wii sports knock off glorified pet simulator or a work out 'thing". there are good things about it; video chat, voice recognition. but they haven't even hinted at one reason why i NEED to own this thing. not one killer app or even a game that actually looked good.

the price is gong to be the main obsticle for them right now... and I'm betting ms is working on a deal to get the nfl network on the xbox on a subscription basis.. I see the potential here but the follow through has to deliver big time or it's going to suffer just like the wii is now

DUDE, its NOT like the Wii.. in fact, its by far WAYYY opposite from it.. this is a hands free, voice activated additive to the XboX 360 console... you can Interact with it JUST by talking to it. how F%#kin cool is that?!!! ... and the price?? well, it was a bit disappointing for Microsoft not to release the price for this device. i'll tell you though.. it will take us a while for us to actually get off our asses and play without a controller.. not many of us are ready to let go of them yet..

Yeah. No price. My guess is its gonna be 200-300 bucks standalone and 350-500 if you buy it with the new 360. Because you cant convince mom to buy another 360 if it doesnt have wii sp- i mean "Kinect Sports" right?
