Activision is looking to up the DJ Hero-ness for their upcoming record-spinning sequel DJ Hero 2 by introducing a second turntable and vocals into the mix. This seems like a natural progression (one that perhaps should have been present the first spin around), and based on Andrew Pfister’s pre-E3 2010 impressions of the game, it will lend itself perfectly to creating a more free-flowing and organic gameplay experience.
“Utilizing the second turntable allows FreeStyleGames to concoct appropriate multiplayer modes, most appealing of which is the DJ Battle. This is set up like a traditional DJ battle would be, with a call and response structure that starts out with one DJ playing a segment, the other DJ matching that segment while adding a little something extra, and then it escalates from there with both players freestyling and crossfading for max points.”
Check out Andrew’s E3 2010 preview of DJ Hero 2 for more details.

I would love to hear "two turntables and a mic" by Black Moon. I say leave the techno garbage out and bring DJ'ing back to it's roots. I'm glad they added an extra turntable, makes it more authentic.

maybe if there was actually some DLC for the first game, I would assume that activision is serious about this. but there isn't so activision won't be seing any more money from me!

For all the ignorant people out there DJ hero has recieved praise and achievements from......
-Time magazine named DJ Hero one of the ten best video games of 2009.
-USA Today considered DJ Hero the best music game of the year.
-DJ Hero also won Best Soundtrack at the Spike Video Game Awards last year.
This is where the term "Don't knock it till you try it" comes into place for the people who dislike the game due to the simple fact that it came from Activision.

Did anyone even buy the first one?

I am for developers releasing info before E3, it helps spread out the information instead of getting overwhelmed by a huge pile that you have to sort through. And for DJ Hero, I thought the biggest complaint was that the turntable needed a fix because the fade switch was too loose and the turntable could use some tweaking. So does this mean in order for me to really enjoy this new game I need to spend another 140 bucks?
