Hot on the heels of Red Dead Redemption's release, Take-Two Interactive has tweaked its upcoming release calendar. Both Max Payne 3 and L.A. Noire have been affected by changes.
Max Payne 3, which was last set to debut sometime before the end of October, has been delayed past Halloween, which marks the end of Take-Two's fiscal year. It's unclear whether Max Payne 3 will be released in 2010. All Take-Two's said is it's been moved past Halloween.
L.A. Noire, however, is apparently headed for a fall release. Take-Two clarified L.A. Noire will be released during the fourth quarter of this year, which takes place between August and November.

I hope this game fails for the following reasons;
No Excuse for Setting a Release Date for a 'highly anticipated' game and then delaying it. If you can't stick by your word (and release date) maybe you shouldn't announce a time table for it. I don't tell my customers I'll deliver their lab results in 3 days and then tell them later that they won't be delivered until 4 months. I think it's ridiculous that gamers 'stand' for this type of garbage. Even Red Dead Redemption's 'delay' was a complete farce. How do you delay a game for more 'polishing' and more marketing and still have it release with countless bugs? I mean I still liked RDR, but still.
I also think this MP3 game is going to suck storyline wise. WTF is Max doing in Brasil? (or where ever the F he is? Valkyrie is made in America Remember?) Also has anyone looked at the picture above? Max is shooting shirtless guys, in khaki shorts wearing bandannas. Secondly why is he all Sam Fisher?

just do whatever you have to in order to make max payne 3 a epic game. if it takes a little longer to make a game great then so be it not like i dont have plenty of other games to keep me busy. im still just messing around in red dead redemption and giving infamous another playthrough

I can see why R* or Take2 decided to delay it seeing as how L.A Noire was coming out around the same time and why have the two games compete. Instead they have a steady stream of games coming out like la noire, max payne and {fingers crossed} BULLY 2

I hate 'delays!' Here's an idea, when you are done with the game or almost done, then announce a release date. Stop doing that nonsense!
