Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions Preview Features Spider-Man 2099

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions marks the return of not one, but four separate iterations of the heroic arachnid man, each existing in his own world with his own game-type.

We knew about Amazing Spider-man and Spider-Man Noir, so the news here is Spider-Man 2099. The multiplatform game features this slightly sci-fi Peter Parker who exists in a game world described by Paul Semel like this:

"The “2099” is presented as a possible future to the regular Marvel universe, with our world turning into a dystopian/cyberpunk future like the one in the film Blade Runner. In the Spider-Man book, which was published to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the character's first appearance in Amazing Fantasy #15, a geneticist named Miguel O'Hara is studying Spider-Man's powers, only to gain these powers when an experiment goes awry."
