To get gamers primed for Fable III's big E3 2010 showing, Lionhead has revealed one of the game's new characters: the Captain.
The screenshot’s caption simply reads “Captain…” Captain what, you ask? No idea. But he has a pretty sweet phoenix tattoo on his chest (or that could just be a very cool splattering of blood), and his general badass demeanor is a nice contrast with the gorgeously lit mountain creek setting surrounding him.

Take note, there is a mountain creek environment on one half of him. The other half is occupied by a large castle style construction joined to the opposing creekside by a wooden bridge with a large arch. The captain actually reminds me a lot of Sarge from Quake 3: Arena. Granted it is mostly due to that picturesque cigar placement but, his figure has that same fit as well. Honestly, the only thing that has ever bugged me about the Fable games is that it feels like everyone is talking at you and the choices don't feel incredibly personal. The game is fun but there's a feeling of detachment from the events because the interaction is never very personal. Though, not many games allow you to pass gas as a social interaction.

Ionhead really needs to improve their story telling. Fable's II most disappointing element.

I love how they changed the style for teh characters models. More in the style of Fable 1

the 2nd game was kind of a let down, don't get me wrong i played it non-stop for about 9hours but i was expecting this vas world that reacted to you, and after playing Fallout and Oblivion and Mass Effect.. it seemed kind of smalll.. not a lot of places to travel or see. hopefully the third installment allows more freedom and more areas to visit. and roam.

Oh captain my captain new screenshot looks good though they did a lot better graphically let's hope they do a lot better gameplay wise. Lionhead studios has yet to blow me away with any of their games I've played they seem to just be ok not amazing like the hype always suggests.
