Fans of Capcom’s monster hunting slaying sequel Lost Planet 2 who have been calling for some major changes to be made around here will see those changes realized in patch form today.
The patch addresses a number of issues that players far and wide have been apparently decrying for some time now. Check out the list of improvements to see if your biggest gripes will soon be a distant memories:
- Respawning points are changed - e.g. the player can start from the beginning of the boss fight, rather than start the level from the beginning and so on. - Applies to the whole game.
- The player's attacking power has been strengthened. - This applies when the difficulty level is set at either Easy or Normal and when only one player starts the game.
- The level of animations for the player being affected near by attack/explosion is lowered. - This applies when the difficulty level is set at either Easy or Normal and when only one player starts the game.
- The level of damage to the player is lowered. - This applies when the difficulty level is set at either Easy or Normal and when only one player starts the game.
- Harmonizer is adjusted to be more powerful. - This applies when the difficulty level is set at either Easy or Normal and when only one player starts the game.
- The level of animations for the enemies being affected near by attack/explosion is increased. - This applies when the difficulty level is set at either Easy or Normal and when only one player starts the game.
- Tip texts are added to the objects that require the B button action such as Data Posts. - Applies to the whole game.
- Weapons' parameters are adjusted - i.e. they became quite evenly balanced (not too strong, not too weak). - Applies to the whole game.
- The speed of the player's dash is increased. - Applies to the whole game.
The patch goes live today, so just boot up your game and get patching!

It all sounds good but nothing i really wanted to be fixed will be fixed.

All of these sound awesome. The restart at boss fights is so there because of 3-3 though

LOL @ Aerindel .. I think Capcom has a lot to learn about MP based games. While we're happy that they attempt to make them ... they should really do some research before they create games like these.
B4 I get accused of not trying, I just downloaded/installed the patch ... and to be honest I don't notice much of a difference based on -
- better performance with the harmonizer (normal)
- being stronger (i played with the energy gun alone ... just now)
and any of the other fixes mentioned ... as far as we're concerned this could just be a placebo (and it would mean that Capcom thinks that we're stupid). - sigh -
Great franchise too bad it got ruined by lazyness ... as it was once said ... " could have been a contender."

This has to be one of the most comprehensive patches I've ever heard of. Its almost like they are just admitting how much they suck at making games and just listening to what the players want instead.
Good idea, but I doubt it will save them. The bad reviews have all ready been posted.

this is sad ... there's no mention if it fixes the glitch associated with Episode 2, Chapter 2 "Eliminate All" the carpet baggers in Area 2. Ah well ... time to stop playing this game. I was hoping that the patch would address this.
