You know him as a writer on Attack of the Show. You loved his work on comics such as the Brian Posein co-written The Last Christmas and Eisner Award nominated Infinite Horizon. And know you will love guest host Gerry Duggan as he fills in for a vacationing Blair Butler as host of Fresh Ink Online. And, boy oh boy, does Gerry have something special for you: a Thor primer! Yes, Gerry will revisit three of the mightiest comics in the Thor cannon: Avengers Disassembled: Thor, Marvel Masterworks: Journey Into Mystery, and Marvel Visionaries: Walter Simonson. It’s a power packed episode that you will not want to miss. Tune in next week as Blair reclaims her Fresh Ink throne.

I would also like to see a rating of King City at some point, be it the trade or the monthly. I love that book.
On a side note, has anyone been reading Electric Ant? Fascinatingly weird.

Dear Blair & Duggan,
I left a comment on a couple podcasts ago mentioning that I wanted to see different people's opinion on comics. I found this podcasts enlightening. I'm actually trying to get a hold of Walter Simmonson's work on Thor, among other he might have done. Again, I really love special guest hosts editions this podcast.
On a side note, here in the pacific northwest there seems to be 2 series that people seem to love. That's King City and Elephantmen. I'm unaware if they are regional only, or if you haven't had the pleasure to pick them up. But if you can, I would like to see a rating of them. The King City trade is coming soon and Elephantmen is up to volume 3.

Walt Simonson was one of the most under-rated artist/writer in my golden age of comics(the '90's). Check out his stuff on the Fantastic Four too............he kicks ass

Im very interested in the Marvel Visionaries: Walter Simonson that Gerry was talking about. I dont know much about Thor though. Can I just grab this and enjoy it or do I need to read earlier thor comics in order to appreciate the Walter Simonson series.

Are you serious. Thanos starts out with his Imperative series and all they have to show is this guy talking about Thor.
Go ahead fan girls, give me a thumbs down, but I"m speaking the truth.

Liked the Thor primer, but when are we going to get more issues of the Infinite Horizon?! It's been years!

Right on, Simonson's Thor stuff is really a must read. I'm a far cry from being the worlds biggest Thor fan, but the Beta Ray Bill story mentioned is so damn good! Loved Straczynski's Thor run too. Glad to hear good things about the Jurgens/JRJR era. Thats a real classy creative team. I'll have to checkout some of those after I'm done with Walt's stories.
