There have been rumors about a sequel to inFamous for a long while, but Game Informer has the scoop on the next game from Sucker Punch Productions, a brand-new Sly Cooper inFamous 2.
The magazine is obviously keeping details under wraps, but the hero (anti-hero?) from the first game, Cole McGrath, is returning with a new look, new powers and apparently a new city, too.
Look for more details on inFamous 2 at E3, which kicks off very, very soon in Los Angeles.

yes im so excited for Infamous 2! honestly i expected the change in look. if you think about it and look back at the begining of the game.... this is what cole looked like... kinda. after the explosion he had a few long strands of hair on his head and then he had the same hair for the rest of the game, so this is why i expected the hair change. so the only thing different about cole is he is now skinny, has his orginal hair back, and we get to see what is under his coat.... and i think a new backpack 2.

They might go for a fable customization. As Cole gets evil, he go back to being (among other evil features). Change costume; yes. Change appearance completely; No.
Despite the character appearance, I looking forward to more powers, inspiring story, and city-changing karma choices.

killzone 3, little big planet 2, socom 4, and now infamous 2? What could sony possibly be saving for E3? My hope is, is that they anouncing all of the sequals before E3, so that durring E3 they can anounce a bunch of new ips.

Changing the look of the main character (in this case Cole) is never a good idea. Altering the look to make him seem older or more prepared is ok but now he just looks too generic. You wouldn't change Nathan Drakes look that drastically for an Uncharted sequel so why do it with a different successful game in Infamous.
(and yes I realize both inFamous and Uncharted are made by different companies)

That isn't Cole. And that city resembles turn of the century England. I am assuming we dont play as the same Cole from the first inFAMOUS, but rather some time travel thingy guy.
Correct me if I am wrong, as the story in the first inFAMOUS made me go cross-eyed, but doesnt all the power start with some sort of Free Mason type underground organization?
Other stories on this story (Game Informer's cover story) indicate new powers/abilities. I am assuming this includes time manipulation.

Cool. That art above kind of blows, so hopefully the game isn't of the same flavor, but inFAMOUS was amazing - the only game I've bothered to get a platinum trophy on so far.

I know I am going to sound like a douche for saying this, but I am not too psyched about this game. As someone who played the first inFamous (a game I thoroughly enjoyed), I feel that my experience could be cheapened. Guitar Hero has shown how many sequels can harm the original essence of a game.
I hate that game developers milk to death a great IP. I could be wrong and inFamous 2 might turn out to be a much better sequel like Uncharted 2 was. Unless the incoming game revolutionizes the genre, it is a pass for me.
