Ever wanted to turn someone you know into a zombie, but you didn’t want to go through the hassle of killing them, finding an Indian burial ground and then waiting around for them to turn? (If not, then I totally haven’t wanted to either. I was just asking…)
Well, the zombie master himself George A. Romero, creator of such films as Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead and pretty much 93 percent of all movies with “Dead” in the title, has come out with a new app for the iPhone and iPod Touch called, shockingly, App of the Dead that lets users turn their friends into the undead. More accurately, it’s a zombie-themed photo editor that you can use to alter and manipulate pictures of people to give them that certain air de death that Romero is known for.
I can’t speak to the quality of Romero’s app, since I haven't tried it out, but I can guarantee the quality of the following segment we did a few weeks back when Romero was gracious enough to stop by the G4 offices to give us his impressions of Left 4 Dead 2 and other zombies in games. If you’re a gamer and you like zombies, you need to watch it. Romero rules.
