Q Entertainment’s Ninety-Nine Nights II gets its kicks by from throwing players into the middle of endless numbers of enemies and letting them stab and swipe (or hack and slash if you prefer) out of the teeming horde. The first game tried to differentiate itself from other Dynasty Warriors clones, but never really got there. To find out more about what Q Entertainment is bringing to the table with the sequel, the developer has released three, emphatically narrated walkthrough trailers, which you’ll find below.
The first video focuses on the game’s epic story:
The second video takes a look at some of the improvements that have been made over the first game:
And the third delves into the game’s various multiplayer modes:

Thank you for the update, Jake! You're awesome.
So a NEW Lord of the Night arose? 'Cuz I know the Lord of the Night was defeated in the first one.
I like how COOL-looking the Army of Night became in this sequel.
[Sarcasm] I like how Galen's the ONLY human in the roster; and everyone else is either an Arff [Light Elf] (Sephia), an Arphann [Dark Elf] (Zazi), a Goblin (Levv), or something else (Maggni). [/Sarcasm]
I wish they just continued from the 1st story except made other characters playable, like:
+ Syumerrt [the Bow&Arrow Arff Leader]
+ Pyurrot [that sexy swordswoman; Arphann Leader]
+ Epharr [that sexy mercenary swordswoman with owl armor]
+ Yesperratt [that sexy, earth-element sorceress that turned evil from turning mad with power]
..instead of characters like Tyurru, Inphyy, & Dwingvatt.
Lets just hope the elements are evenly distributed among the 5 new characters.
[Fire, Lightning, Wind, Water, & Earth]

In terms of the demo, things DID get improved, but the feel of the gameplay isn't as visceral as it felt in the first one. It felt very light, like your attacks don't really connect - you don't FEEL like your kicking @$$.
The addition of interchangeable abilities is pretty freakin' awesome though; 'cause now you can arrange them accordingly, instead of just being stuck with what you got (with whatever you equipped) like in the 1st game. Which totally increases survivability now.
Graphics & Framerate DID improve in this one.
Though I'm feeling REALLY skeptical about adding a puzzle element to the campaign; I think it would just end up placing your character in harm's way when enemies are around, shooting at you, while you're trying to solve the puzzle.
And I'm REALLY glad they added a multiplayer feature to this game.
The 1st game had a seriously short lifespan after having completed the game for each character, and getting all of the achievements. It was a rental, at best. Hopefully, the new multiplayer addition remedies that problem.
And its funny how this sequel received more than just "Violence" for it's Mature-rating (unlike the 1st one); this one gets "Blood & Gore" and "Partial Nudity" added to it's rating.
LoL..Wonder if it's Zazi or Sephia..that caused that rating.
Anyways, yeahh..
..The balancing of the game is quite off..
..the difficulty of the Army of Night was so easy, while the mini-bosses & the huge boss in the separate mission (of the demo) were REALLY hard to defeat. I haven't even defeated the huge boss yet, 'cause I'd get killed before I even get to him. I'd damaged, and wouldn't round up enough health to tough it out & keep going, unlike the 1st game, which had PLENTY of health restorative items to pick up.
Can't wait for this to come out so X-Play can review it! (^_^)'

I really like all the improvments they've made on this sequel compared to the last one. The only thing I'm seeing that may be an issue with me once I play it is the puzzles. I hate puzzles in action games. What's the point of them, except to stretch out the overall gameplay? Also with the puzzles being made for specific characters, that means that every character won't be able to play through every map on the game. Only certain characters will have maps catered to their story, which is fine. But I would love to be able to play through all the maps with all the characters. I would also hope that there is at least some connection between the first N3 and the sequel. I see that one of the playable characters is one of the Goblins we saw in the first one, I wonder if his story carries over from the first?

ALSO, I love HOW they listed things like WIND and BLOCK PUSHING as IMPROVEMENTS. This will BE awesome.

As long as the entire game is narrated by the world's most excitable intern, I'm down.

If they fixed the inexcusable save system from the first game (dying 40 minutes into a level and forced to start all over twice and I sold it) I will get it

I played the demo and I like what I saw, I played the 1st and hated the giant frog kept sitting on me and killing me instantly.
