I don't know about you, but I frickin' love Red Dead Redemption's lasso. There's is nothing more fun than seeing who and what you can tie up and drag behind your horse. Like everyone, the first thing I did in multiplayer was try to lasso my friend (In my case, Attack of the Show's Moye Ishimoto). But it didn't work. "What gives?" I asked myself.
Here's what gives: According to Rockstar, the lasso is too complicated to use in multiplayer, so you'll have to only use rope when you're playing with yourself.
"Trying to get a curving, fluid-like piece of rope to work in single player was a massive technical challenge in itself, but the potential for 16 lassos attempting to interact with each other to cause knotty technical problems meant we had to confine the lasso to single player," Rockstar told the UK PlayStation blog.
Sadly, we'll all have to stick to shooting one another in the face, and save the lassoing for nuns in single-player.
