Bruce Willis and Jamie Foxx may be onboard the film version of Kane & Lynch, but according to an internet source, the attached director, former stunt coordinator Simon Crane, may not be.
Here's how website latinoreview described the situation:
"According to my trusted proven source at Millennium, it wasn’t working out with Simon Crane so Crane and the studio have parted ways."
Supposedly, Wayne Kramer (Crossing Over) is in talks to direct.
Is anyone out there excited by the idea of Willis and Foxx starring in a movie based on the sort-of-disappointing Kane & Lynch? Personally, I'm filled with "meh" over the prospect. Even if I thought it was likely that a decent video game movie adaptation could be made -- Spoiler: It isn't -- I don't think I would pick this game to bring to big screen. Although, on the other hand, Kane and Lynch were definitely colorful, "cinematic" characters that could work in a gritty buddy movie with lots of explosions... maybe I'm just not into that sort of thing.

I have begun to think that video hame movie adaptations will never work. It seems that every game that is going to be made into a movie gets canned just as people get excited about it. And every game that does turn out to be released is not great. I am very excited for the Mass Effect movie, but I do not have my hopes up. It will probably get pushed aside too.

I lost interest in the movie when the announced the Jami fox crap.
IamtheBat
It lost my interest before it even announced pre-production.

Lynch = white.

Wayne Kramer, huh? I'm completely fine with that. My problem with the movie so far is that the screen writer is not all that experienced. But I'm still cautiously optimistic about this one.

Why can't they get the guys who made the AC:Lineage short film a decent budget and let them do a feature film version of AC?

I'd think you would be more successful to do a romantic comedy with Jennifer Lopez, then sign your name to a video game movie.
