Morning Hangover -- The Game You Gave Up On

Sometimes, enough is enough. In a piece I'm publishing later today, I'll tell you why I haven't given up on Bit.Trip.Runner, despite the game's brutal difficulty level. That's not to say I'm not willing to give up on a game, though. I can't actually remember the last time I actually said "no, eff you, I'm done" and turned the console off. Usually, I get bored and forget to go back. In that case, Bayonetta.

I'm ashamed to say that I don't actually beat a lot of the games I play... I love them to death, but then life gets in the way. I don't often give up on games, I just never finish them.

    Demon's Souls

One of the only games that literally had me throwing my controllers across the room and yelling obscenities at the top of my lungs. Don't get my wrong it's a good game.... If you're a masochist.

As of last night, Hunter mode on Realistic in Splinter Cell: Conviction. I kept on getting spotted by dudes down a hallway and its not fun having to fight 20 dudes with shotguns down narrow corridors with a Five-Seven pistol and an M16 with only have a clip left in it. I just gave up after the 10th time getting spotted and killed. I might resume today, however...

Oh, and a couple months ago, I gave up on Modern Warfare 2. The online had gotten so bad that I just gave up. However I recently went back to play with my buddies, and I discovered a little thing called Search & Destroy, which is surprisingly legit. The other day I gave up on BC:2's online, the online game lag has gotten so bad it just doesn't seem worth it. I might go back to that soon, however, for I only need 2 more achievements left there for 1000 points.

The DS version of Resident Evil. Honestly, though, I'm sure I would have given up on the real one too. The controls just sucked. Uh, and then, I guess JRPGs in general as a genre have lost me. Can't do them. It was an odd realization that what I had been told by everyone I know that I would and did love was something I actually hated. But, uh, yeah.

Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. i just couldn't take the train or the tower anymore. Quit it about half-way through and haven't touched it since. it feels kind of wrong because I love Zelda games and have finished so many.

FEAR EFFECT for the psone. Everytime you died, it would take six minutes for the game to reload, play for :30 and die, then wait 6 more minutes. The only game I have ever thrown across the room.
