Cheats and Walkthroughs
Obsidian Entertainment's Alpha Protocol has been in the works for quite some time. The spy-centric game seems to borrow as much from the likes of "24" and Robert Ludlum's "Bourne" novels as it does from Mass Effect's action role-playing and story-changing dialogue choices. However, according to Gus Mastrapa, it doesn't quite come together in execution as it seems on paper. This section particularly grabbed me:
"In Alpha Protocol, You play as secret agent Mike Thorton, a spook who finds himself wrapped up in a global conspiracy after a passenger plane is taken down by a terrorist attack. It’s your job to travel the globe, track down the people who responsible and bring them to justice. How you accomplish your mission is up to you. And, really, that’s pretty much all Alpha Protocol has going for it."
I started up a game last weekend out of curiosity, and I didn't see much that I could disagree with. Want to know more? Read Gus' review to find out!

The problem is not Obsidian, it is Sega. Take a peak at the games they came out with last year and this and you will see one consistent pattern, mediocre reviews. They lack the studio talent to push them over the top or they are stiffling the studios with poor funding. Either way think twice if the bottom right symbol of your game case says SEGA.

i've been watching the gameplay vidoes for this game on gameanyone.com and it looks pretty good to me.

its a shame cause when I saw the game in game informer (where they announced it publicly for the first time, at least to my knowlege) it looked great. but then as I saw more and more of it the game looked worse and worse. from rigid character animations to cliche'd characters I found little if anything to make me want to buy this game.

wow lol this game sucks.
MasterChefMDLM
Well, I am glad I waited until the reviews came out. Sigh.

I had high hopes for this game. Sadly, Obsidian will always disappoint me.

I was actually looking forward to this game...at least it wasn't Bioshock that made the game...I think my world would crumble if Bioshock ever came out with a game that was garbage.
Pillowman
Hmmm I thought the main character was white?

I just let out an unvoluntary sigh of dissapointment.

I was really excited about the idea of this game, but it never gripped me like I expected it to. Whenever I see it in action (I work at a Gamestop and previews play for it all the time) It only ever gets a "meh" out of me. Now if you could play as Kevin Butler, that would be a different story.

I had a feeling that this was going to be bad. I was excited when I first read about it and saw pics but when I saw the gameplay I lost all interest.
Like DreamingDarklyRobin said I really hope they don't screw up New Vegas. I'm guessing they won't since Sega won't have anything to with that.
Completist
To each their own. I'm still looking forward to it though, bad reviews or not.

Great. My preorder ships Tuesday. Atleast I got borderlands for $10 in a package deal with it.
DreamingDarklyRobin
So basically Mass Effect gone horribly wrong.
I hope Obsidian does better with New Vegas.
