April may have been a breather, but that's not the case in May. Alan Wake, Red Dead Redemption, Super Mario Galaxy 2 -- and that's just the major releases! This week, Adam Sessler, Sterling McGarvey, Abbie Heppe and myself headed into the studio to discuss the latest news and highlight two other games worth talking about: Split/Second and Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.
On this week's episode of Feedback...
- Insomniac Games announced a deal with EA Partners this week to release a new gaming franchise on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. What does this pattern mean for the industry?
- Microsoft execs Robbie Bach and J Allard, two guys who have had a lasting impact on the past and present of Xbox, have left Microsoft. We debate what the shakeup means for you.
- The Mass Effect movie is one step closer to reality.
- Killzone 3 was announced and it's Sony's boldest support of 3D gaming yet. No, Adam doesn't have a breakdown, but we do question how 3D can be proven to an audience without glasses.
- We touch on Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Stands and Split/Second. One is the new hotness, while the other is...well, you'll just have to watch and find out what we think about it.
- A reader asks us to name our favorite up-and-coming indie studios.
Feedback, asking Adam to make forest animal sounds since...well, we never asked.

Mr.Sessler, when can I get my hands on the soundtrack? Those sound effects you made are just pure awesome.

Take it easy guys. Ratchet and Clank nor Resistance are going to 360. They said that they are working on a "NEW IP." It's a new series all together.

What about 2d Boy.... comeone, world of goo is a masterpeice!

Speaking of game companies to keep your eyes on. What is that new game coming out that looks like a cartoony God of War? I cannot remember the name or who is making it. The one where the artwork of the characters look almost rubbery. And the main character looks like he is wearing a hockey mask. Gahhhhh! I want to remember!

As far as new consoles. I would like to see something like Steam or Battle.net. What I mean by that is you purchase Xbox as a controller and external ATA drive with an attached optical drive. It would be relatively cheap the make and what you do it you sync it to your computer and you can do all of that from there. The next console should have roughly enough power to run windows XP.
The only people I see that have problems with this setup are the ones that dont know how to do a TV computer setup.
It might be redundant to some but I do not wish to keep buying computer parts I already have just because Microsoft or sony wont release their Xbox/PS3 OS to the computer market.
Seems like I am buying a Mac Mini with an Xbox/PS3 OS. Really what the next console will be sadly.
Nintendo on the other hand, just keep doing what you are doing I don't want to run Super Mario Galaxy with a kick ass physics engine. Just keep it to the minimalistic casual scene.

Nice camerawork, pan-masters. Interesting shots, angles, and motion.

I was just wondering, will the episode that airs on TV be put online later? The place I am living in only has basic cable.
I only had G4 on my TV for a month when they did a free month in November a few years ago.
It was the only channel my TV was turned to

I'd Just like to say That Feedback has really made its name for being the unrivaled news/talk cast for gamers. It is one of the few shows that discusses news and games that aren't posted in a thousand different places already. I think X-Play and Aots are very well done programs, but if you are an educated or intelligent gamer you just can't beat feedback.

Remember that show Best Week Ever? Well, G4 is having the best week ever! It's about damn time feedback airs on television too. Can any of you staff members tell me if there's any chance that if the E3 Feedback episodes get an abnormally high amount of viewers that it could be considered for a weekly time slot? I'm really curious. Thanks.

the insomniac going with ea partners reminds me of Bungie going to Activision its pretty funny watching fanboys on both sides saying things like what we have ur best exclusives on our console now so suck it, but in the end they get shunned because they didn't read the article or even watch the video showing the accurate info.
None the less i'm excited for what Bungie and insomniac can do with sales going multi-platform obviously more people have 360s so my bet is that Bungie will have better sales but insomniac's game will be more critically reviewed by reviewers and the industry , but not much more than what Bungie will have released in the future who knows maybe it will be the other way around but ps3 owners will have a bungie (not halo)title if Bungie chooses to go that path and 360 owners will have an Insomniac title and thats all that really matters .

WHOA! right around 35 minutes in, i heard Abbie cuss, and it wasnt bleeped.
PunkALive21
i like how the title of this has "Insomniac games goes 360"...making it look like Insomniac is going to exclusive 360. G4, you darn xbox fans.

I love Feedback. I love TV. Feedback and TV = Amazing.
I hope its a test run as well, hopefully we can see a standard Feedback show on after X-Play or AoTs.

Will there be a Red Dead Redemption centric Feedback? I'm interested in the group's discussions about the game. Also, will the live E3 episodes be shot in the studio or from the event itself? Can a live audience attend? ;)
Vendetagainst
Wished for some Red Dead talk. Also, what's with the hiatus X-play?
