April may have been a breather, but that's not the case in May. Alan Wake, Red Dead Redemption, Super Mario Galaxy 2 -- and that's just the major releases! This week, Adam Sessler, Sterling McGarvey, Abbie Heppe and myself headed into the studio to discuss the latest news and highlight two other games worth talking about: Split/Second and Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.
On this week's episode of Feedback...
- Insomniac Games announced a deal with EA Partners this week to release a new gaming franchise on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. What does this pattern mean for the industry?
- Microsoft execs Robbie Bach and J Allard, two guys who have had a lasting impact on the past and present of Xbox, have left Microsoft. We debate what the shakeup means for you.
- The Mass Effect movie is one step closer to reality.
- Killzone 3 was announced and it's Sony's boldest support of 3D gaming yet. No, Adam doesn't have a breakdown, but we do question how 3D can be proven to an audience without glasses.
- We touch on Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Stands and Split/Second. One is the new hotness, while the other is...well, you'll just have to watch and find out what we think about it.
- A reader asks us to name our favorite up-and-coming indie studios.
Feedback, asking Adam to make forest animal sounds since...well, we never asked.

If I'm to be perfectly honest...
It's great that Feedback will be getting some more exposure during E3, but I really hope it won't be turned into a regular TV show. A TV show would come with ad breaks, and structure, and plugs and etc. And I'm sure it would mean that instead of getting a fantastic 40-50 minute show to watch online every week we'd be left with 5 minute highlight packages.
Plus, I wouldn't be able to watch it. >_>

hey guys when are you gonna start talking about red dead? You said you were going to this week or something. I've been playing and I was able to rack up some really good conversations about it with some friends. I'd love to hear what you guys have to say about it. And if you have any stories.

This episode made me smile. Adam is awesome!

Okay...it's easy for these guys to say "I wish my friends had every console like me"...when you work in the industry...and these things are either provided for you OR you get one helluva discount..I guess it's expected these days..keep in mind, I'm not "dogging" these people by any means, but, c'mon...we all can't just stroll into the GDC or E3 and have devs go..."yeah, try this out"...or have goodies waiting at our desks...(see Sessler on ME2)..sometimes I think they forget that stuff..hell, who wouldn't want all 3 consoles and a balls-out PC?

Man, Klepek tries too hard to be an "analyst". He's nowhere near as natural as the other three.

Feedback: bringing the joy and humor back into your Wednesday. Another awesome show everyone!
I have to say that I'm a big fan of Insomniac. From Spyro the Dragon to Ratchet and Clank I have yet to be let down in terms of entertainment. I'm excited to see what new franchise they will develop while working with EA Partners. I wonder if they'll do something that's not quite as "cartoonish" I'll call it, as R&C but not quite as gritty and adult-themed like Resistance. Anyway I look forward to what they'll come up with. I'm sure I won't be disappointed... unless it's in a genre I don't play.

I like how Sterling sliped in a "BONER JAM" at the very last second. Can't wait to watch feedback on tv.

Speaking of game companies to keep your eyes on. What is that new game coming out that looks like a cartoony God of War? I cannot remember the name or who is making it. The one where the artwork of the characters look almost rubbery. And the main character looks like he is wearing a hockey mask. Gahhhhh! I want to remember!
RandyMercer
I said this before but Killzone 3 might be a Trojan Horse for Sony, in terms of 3D support but money is what will be a huge factor when launching it. With that said I really think this game will be 3D proper not 3D thrown in. I don't know why people assumed that EA now owns Insomniac, it seems that with the more info that was released people became more misinformed.
