Halo: Reach has a release date. The game will be out worldwide on September 14.
“Halo: Reach is the culmination of a decade of Halo, a franchise that has become a global entertainment and pop-culture touchstone,” said Phil Spencer, corporate vice president of Microsoft Game Studios at Microsoft Corp. in a statement “Just as Halo: Combat Evolved catalysed the success of the original Xbox to define a decade of entertainment, Halo: Reach will push the boundaries for what’s possible in video games and help make 2010 the biggest year in Xbox history.”
Now that we've all played the multiplayer beta, and all the previous Halo games, on a scale of meh to OMG awesome, how excited are you for the full retail release of Halo: Reach?

I started gaming before most avid gamers were born, but Reach was my first foray into multiplayer, something I decided to try since I had ODST. I played a total of 32 hours during the beta, and it was great (although, I wasn't particularly). I have hundreds of games on a half dozen platforms and the Halo franchise is my favorite. Can't wait for Reach campaign, and I'll keep improving my M/P skills, too. Invasion is great and huge, once everyone on the teams knows the rules.

Darn it i hoped it would be the 25th..Halo 3 came out on my b-day so i hoped this one would. Ah well, I'm still psyched

bungie didn't lie when they said that this was going to be the definitive halo game. this game brought back good elements of halo and added a little spice to the mix. can't wait to see more at e3...

Halo: Reach is an improvement in every way possible and I preordered it awhile back so I'm good to go.

I see, my mistake; I did not know Halo began the popularity of FPS's. I apologize for my mistake. But I am still suspicious about the big buzz everyone if making about this game. For the sake of long time Halo fans, I hope you enjoy Halo: Reach a lot.

Not a fan of Halo but heard that Halo: Reach is turning into a FPS. The market seems to be saturated with shooters these days. I am not giving any concrete opinion of how this game will turn out because it has not come out (and do not know much about it either), but I would hate if a game I love turned into a game of a completely different genre.
Sorry for being a party pooper, but this is my true opinion. In regards to Stephen's question, I do not know about excitement, I am rather expectant. For the fans of this game, I truly hope it lives up to your great expectations.

Yeah, I figured it'd be around that time. It obvious they were shooting for a September date, just like with Halo 3 and ODST. Glad I got my Legendary Edition on reserve already.
