Lost Isn't Over After The Finale -- It's Headed To Rock Band

When the curtain closes on Lost tonight, what's a Lost fan to do? Rewatch the series with new enlightenment? Drink until the mysteries make sense? Nope. You're going to turn on Rock Band.

In the near future, likely in the next few days, both Driveshaft's "You All Everybody" and Geronimo Jackon's "Dharma Lady" are going to show up on the Rock Band Network, I'm told. The songs briefly made an appearance on creators.rockband.com, but have since disappeared before their debut.

Driveshaft is the rock group of the one and only Charlie Pace, while Geronimo Jackson is a bit of a Lost in-joke. References to the 1970s band are littered throughout the series, including a poster inside John Locke's high school locker. "Dharma Lady" is actually available now on iTunes right now.

Rock Band Network songs are immediately available for Xbox 360. Popular tracks are transported by Harmonix to PlayStation 3 and Wii. Sadly, I don't know if the Lost songs will appear on either one.

The story of Lost may have come to an end, but the fun -- and the rock -- doesn't have to.

Yep, get Ben a red shirt and Hurley a captain's hat.. Now all we need are Mary Anne and some coconut cream pies and, we've got ourselves a spin-off!

i smell spinoff. a buddy comedy featuring ben and hurley on the island. ben the strait laced by the book chap. and hurley the fat goofy oaf who does everything the wrong way but in the end it all works out for him.

    [SPOILERS]

Look, it's simple. Everything that happened in the "normal" timeline actually happened they just never tell us specifically what the island was but it's some sort of source of all life, shangri la, garden of eden etc. The alternate timeline is an afterlife scenario collectively created by all of the people on the island so that they could meet up and "cross over" together. They all died at various different times, some deaths we saw on the show and some we didn't because they happened after the last episode (this would be Rose, Bernard, Kate, Sawyer, Miles, Frank, Hurley and Ben). Hurley and Ben protected the island for an undisclosed but presumably extended period of time. Everyone had to remember and come to terms with their own deaths before they could move on and that's what happened with them meeting up and dissolving into the light. They did not die in the crash and the island was real. It was not purgatory and while IMO it could have ended better it could have ended a lot worse. That's it, it's not vague or anything, that's how it ended.

Frank Lapidus FTW!!! on a side note maybe i missed something but arent hurley and ben still alive on the island? jack left hugo in charge and ben became number 2 but they didnt die just jack. so why is hurley dead and moving on if ben isn't cuz he stayed outside so i guess he wasnt dead or something. and did everything on the island this season actually even happen or was it the nuke juliet set off that killed everyone and if so why were there 2 "limbos", island one and mainland one. if you picked up on something i didnt please reply cuz im a little, um LOST!

I seriously do not know what to make of this final episode of Lost. When I really think about it. I'm more than pissed off that there was no big reveal about the "sideways" reality. I mean they said "Hey, it's just a between place before their souls move on." or whatever but then what the hell did it mean when Miles told Sawyer that Juliet said "It worked." Everything about this last season says "we forgot that we didn't realize we actually needed more time to pull off the actual story arc and did a hell of a hack job cutting all the truly interesting things out. Yeah, I got sappy when all the characters found the people they fell in love with on the island but, the fact that they were all dead and it wasn't some phenomenon created by the explosion on the island was actually disappointing. More importantly, all the crap that happened in the "between" place didn't even matter, none of it represented anything. None of the extra characters mattered, let alone the characters that were part of the story that didn't get taken to that church. Screw it, take seasons 1-5 and end it there. It all blows up and that's it, no breaking down the mystique and turning everything into a jumbled mess. Not to mention, that this series that I thought was great actually plagiarized the plot to a movie that was terrible for the same reason this finale was, Passengers. Anne Hathaway and Patrick Wilson are stuck in a place that they created before they "move on" to wherever. I loved this show and it seems like they writing an amazing story and decided they should run out of paper before they run out of ideas. So many interesting things introduced this season and immediately torn apart because there was no time to explain it. So they smashed it to bits and glued it back together with mud before they smashed it again. Jack becomes guardian so he can lose all his power immediately afterward and have the least interesting fight in the entire series. Hurley becomes guardian and he said last episode he definitely didn't want to and seemed ready to leave with everyone else. I really thought they would step it up a notch. Instead, we got shaky cams, rain, and a corked glowing power cave that apparently glowed enough to illuminate to the outside but it didn't fill the cave itself when you entered. This whole thing was handled amazingly well if you look at it as a rushed catastrophe that had no chance of paying off on 5 seasons worth of incredible cliffhangers. If you want a really well done season finale, go watch grey's anatomy, their writers have some serious guts and went f'ing crazy with it.

I heard a new song on the radio tonight inspired by Lost. Can't remember the name of the band, but the songs called "The Ballad of Jack Shephard". I'm not a Lost fan but this song is pretty cool.

I personally am glad that these posts complaining about Lost posts will end. I have no interest in posts that complain about Lost. I started scrolling past them months ago watching and never got back into it. That is my personal opinion, and if you disagree and think that my opinion is nothing, then you just spent 20 seconds of your time gazing into nothingness and tried to make sense of it, which is very similar to the neuro-psychotronic state caused by watching Lost.

I personally am glad that these Lost posts will end. I have no interest in Lost. I stopped watching after the 3rd season and never got back into it. That is my personal opinion, and if you disagree and think that my opinion is worth nothing, go ahead and thumb this comment down because someone thinks differently than you.

Did anyone watch the season finale of the Simpsons? The writing on Bart's chalkboard said that Lost was just a dog's dream so don't bother watching...(not a direct quote but close) it made me lol. I'm glad I got to watch both.

the lost ending blew so much....its a freaking clip show ep!!!
with a horrible ending, that not even a twist its more annoying than it really is twist.
the only "twist" for me was the mother of jacks son...and its the first 10 mins.
the ending was a cop-out through and through, it felt really rushed like they needed some more eps but could not fit all into the last ep....

and REALLY like 2 secs. of Mr. Echco.
    LAME!!!!!

[SPOILERS] Everything on the island was real and happened just like we saw it. The flash-sideways world was kind of like a waiting room in the afterlife so all the characters could find each other one last time. It also served as a plot distraction so the creators of LOST didn't have to actually explain any of the mysteries in the final.

What just happened??? So it WAS purgatory after the creators specifically said it wasn't? Did I misread something? Walt? The exact connection between the two timelines? What the "light" actually is? Hurley and Ben's rules and how they were enacted? My head hurts and I'm not happy...
