If you aren’t a fan of Level 5’s spectacularly whimsical Nintendo DS puzzle-adventure series of Professor Layton games, there’s a good chance you are dead inside. Or, you're just not a fan of the genre. Either way, it means you probably won’t give too Lukes about the recently revealed title for the next installment, which is a shame.
However, for those who have been forever won over by the Layton series, you’ll be interested to know that there’s a good chance the final game in the current North American trilogy will be called Professor Layton and the Unwound Future. At least, that’s according to a recent trademark filing picked up by Silicon Era.
The trilogy ender was called Professor Layton and the Last Time Travel when it released in Japan back in 2008, so it appears that Unwound Future will just be Last Time Travel with a different name (It definitely isn't a new Wii game that's for sure). It isn’t known when the game will be released, but it’s safe to assume a Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box-type announcement during E3 2010.
G4 will be on hand covering the absolutely hell out of E3 starting June 15, so if there's anything to report, you'll definitely hear about it.
