For those of you who still haven’t redeemed your exclusively downloadable content codes for Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption, you might want to check out what’s going on over at online auction site eBay before you do.
Turns out gamers are offering up their DLC codes to the highest bidder, and some of the prices are pretty insane. Individual codes for the War Horse and Golden Guns Weapon Pack are going for $60 bucks a piece. The highest priced offering is a bundle that includes the Deadly Assassin and Golden Guns pack for $101.55 (at the time of this writing).
I’ve been trying to redeem my War Horse Xbox 360 DLC code since Tuesday, but the Rockstar servers haven’t been in the best shape, so I actually haven’t been able to make it happen. Now I’m thinking, this might not be such a bad thing.
Anyone out there offering up their Red Dead DLC codes on eBay? Anyone think they’ll bid on a code?

It's pretty pathetic since in no time you'll be unlocking better weapons which aren't gold. I thought my weapons would be gold, not just two beginner noob sticks.

Hi, I'm new to X Box, and i don't want to spend that much money on E bay. I pre ordered this game from Blockbuster, SHould i Have been given these codes? Also, are there other ways to get the codes other than Ebay? like I said i'm new to this whole thing, so i would really appreciate it if someone could answer these questions.

Screw that! I'll get those the old fashion way..BY PLAYING THE GAME..and UNLOCKING THEM MYSELF!! I jst got the game yesterday..and ..WOW! So far it's AWESOME!! I'm taking my time with this game..I also bought the stratgy guide..just in case I feel like being an achevment whore.

To all of you morons that keep saying the DLCs will be on the Marketplace...do you see Mass Effect 2 Terminus Gear or the Blackstorm Heavy weapon on there, how about all of the free weapons on Splinter Cell: Conviction like the silenced shotguns, silenced machine pistol, proximity mine (these are all pre-order exclusives as well if you didn't already know)? NO...because they are EXCLUSIVE DLC!!!!! Now I for one won't pay these uncanny prices but realize that there is no other way to get them at this point (by that I mean if you didn't pre-order). Also the problems have nothing to do with XBOX...I had zero problems as well until yesterday so please believe the ppl @ G4 that know more than you...also Rockstar even already put out an update for BOTH systems so the problem is obviously theirs.

I pre-ordered mine and got it at a midnight release, redeemed the code to get the Assassin's outfit but umm...I have literally no idea what you're all talking about when it comes to the Golden guns and Warhorse, there was no mention of that nor have I seen anything about those things until just now. Unless it's a MP thing and not single player, in which case, that would explain it, I don't do MP.

I pay for the game that's it. I don't care about if my gun looks a different color. The game is the same why pay more? I hate gamestop how they use this gimmick to lure people(kids) in to pre-order. Only greed will get the best of people putting stuff on ebay. Its cruel too. Look at the PS3 launch on ebay. People bought those to just be greedy and sell them. Think of all those poor kids who wanted it and shortages because of greed. You people make me sick.

This is bloody ridiculous. Chances are you'll be able to get it all through the marketplace in due time; and even so, it's simply skins and items, with slightly better benefits.
People will waste money on absolutely anything these days, no matter how benign it really is.
Makes me wonder how much some dolts would dish out for the Dragon Age pre-order items (if MS didn't screw up on the website marketplace anyways).

haha...for the idiots paying for this on ebay...u dont actually get the outfits like deadeye, it just gives u the hints on where to find the items to create the outfit.lol....so ur paying for the blueprints for the outfits...now, for the guns/mounts....I think u just get those.
an I got deadeye with my pre-order, so i know what Im talking about...its easier to get the gentlemen outfit anyways.

yeah the other stuff is useless,but the the Deadly Assassin outfit is the best outfit, it recharges your dead eye ability faster. its makes a major diff, plus you look bad ass with the patch, and the outfit
