If you're planning on picking up the kart-tastic Blur next week, and you love things made entirely out of chrome, you'll want to stop in at your local Kmart or Sears to pick up this power-up racer. Both stores are offering buyers an exclusive chrome BMW Series 1 to people who pick the game up at launch.
Kmart talks about the shiny new car on their gaming blog (yes, Kmart has a gaming blog ... and a gaming Twitter feed), and notes that the item is being exclusively offered at launch. Which translates to, "if you snooze, you lose." One thing we wish this car came with is the ability to blind your opponents while the sun is shining. That, and a "polish meter" that you need to keep refilling.

The only thing I don't understand about Blur is that are we supposed to just not question where the cars' super powers are being emitted from? I mean, are all those fancy light effects just being shot out of the cars' magic bumpers and such? I'm sure when I play I won't think about it and will just have fun, but it still irks me whenever I see vid of it...*shrugs*

Thanks for the (digital) ink about our exclusive Chrome BMW, Kevin, and for linking to our blog and Twitter account. Can't wait to check out the game -- and the car -- myself!
(NOTE: I'm the social media manager for Kmart/Sears Home Electronics)

you should be more worried about the fact that random companies are getting exclusive content. The way video game buisness is growing. soon we have to drive far to get the exclusive gun in a call of duty from chipotle mexican grill.

Im not worried, that's pretty hideous looking.

I think my first reaction to this is..."Kmart and Sears? you mean no Gamestop or Best Buy?" this is just, madness!
