While details on Nintendo's glassless 3D handheld, tentatively dubbed the 3DS, remain murky, we're getting small glimpses into the company's plans. Wireless Goodness spotted an FCC filing from Nintendo (which has now, unsurprisingly, disappeared) showing the internal components of a mysterious handheld sporting a screen that'd be new to the world of DS: widescreen.
The motherboard-centric FCC filing doesn't provide much information on what Nintendo's next handheld will end up looking like. As Wireless Goodness speculated, we're likely getting a glimpse into Nintendo's testing process, so the image may represent a prototype testing board.
Still, it looks like we're going widescreen with the 3DS, a welcomed changed, right?
