RIP: Metal God Ronnie James Dio

Rock and roll and heavy metal legend Ronnie James Dio died this weekend of stomach cancer. The one-time lead singer of Black Sabbath and Dio was 67 years old.

Dio's musical career began in the late 1950s(!) but his crowning achievement was being the one man on earth with the chops to replace Ozzy as the head of Sabbath in the late 1970s. He is also is credited with popularizing the "metal horns" hand-gesture that has become synonymous with Metal, as well as putting out a ton of blazing material under the name Dio.

Sadly, Dio hasn't had that many tracks appear in music video games, although you can play Dio hit "Holy Diver" on Activision's Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks The 80s. In honor of Dio's memory, check out this perfect run on the song... and bang your head and throw the horns while you watch:
