Super Scribblenauts Coming This Fall

The sequel to innovative vocabulary game Scribblenauts is coming this fall. Super Scribblenauts for the Nintendo DS promises to expand the vocabulary base and add adjectives to the mix.

Super Scribblenauts

The basis of Scribblenauts' gameplay -- write a noun and make that object appear in order to solve a puzzle -- will be expanded exponentially by the addition of adjectives. As I'm sure you remember from English class, adjectives modify nouns, so now you'll be able to change the color, size, style, behaviors and other aspects of the objects you describe in the game. Multiple adjectives can be combined together to produce things like pious, troubled, flying zombies and purple, skinny, winged elephants.

The game is being developed by 5TH Cell, the same company who developed Scribblenauts, and took an unknown title and made it into a sleeper hit.

Did you play the first Scribblenauts? What did you think? I loved it. Any game that has vocabulary as its main mechanic is alright with me. Or should I say, "I approve of interactive experience that reward my verbosity."

i really like the old one, but it dissapoints me when i cant put in "FN-SCAR" or "Miley Cyrus" cuz of copyright crap. also, some items dont do what i wanted them to do. ever find it agravating when you cant make a chair attack a hobo?

I own the first Scribblenauts, it was addictive but started to annoy me(control was really bad) hope they change it. and another thing, sometimes i get star and don't have any idea how i came by them(there are a lot of glitches but they only happen once in a while)

Anyways that was the first thing that came o mind when i purchased it.....
being able to get a giant mouse to get revenge on a cat.
    Cant wait for this one.

Somehow I still feel as if making a "black, giant, pegasus" is going to get old after the first few challenges.

Have and beat the first Scribblenauts and I love the gameplay. Even though I've beaten it I still go back to see how many different items I can create. Can't wait to expand with adjectives.

The original Scribblenauts was awesome, despite the fact that Cthulhu would totally own God (if they existed).

I hope they change the controls, more responsive touchscreen and the D-pad for movement. If the action go's up, you really can't count on it doing what you want with this one..

Lol, Jesus should definitely have been an option for assistance. I gotta say though, there is a lot of stuff that surprised me was included, such as Cthulu, that got me laughing. I used him to destroy many an obstacle. Can't wait for the next one.

Gotta love anime. Look at that picture. The Zombie guy. Oh look at me! I'm "talking" about a "sweat drop" instead of just showing that I'm scared with my facial features!!!

I liked the 1st till things got very hard to solved and it seemed i was "at a loss for words" I really couldnt think of anything to aide me, and what i wanted didn't work.
also the physics and movement was a pain in the ass.
