Marvel Developing Super Hero Squad Online MMO

A few years ago, Marvel was working on an MMO to be called Marvel Universe Online. Marvel dropped out of the project, citing an "inability to compete" in the MMO space. That game became Champions Online, but Marvel never really lost their interest in the online superhero space. The company is working on a Super Hero Squad MMO, apparently seeing an opportunity to compete in the kid-friendly MMO world, if not the big leagues.

The game, set in Marvel's Super Hero City, will feature Spider-Man, Iron Man, War Machine, Hulk, Wolverine, Invisible Woman and Silver Surfer with the above cutesy look. You will be able to fully customize your headquarters and invite friends to visit.
