Even though Dead Space was released on the PC, Electronic Arts and Visceral Games haven't committed to a PC release for Dead Space 2. Thankfully for PC fans, that appears to have changed.
EA broke out its upcoming lineup while detailing its fourth quarter and fiscal year 2010 results, which listed Dead Space 2 for "consoles," "handheld/mobile" and -- waaaaait for it -- "PC."
What does the "handheld/mobile" section mean for Dead Space? Your guess is as good as mine.

Hey Im a PC gamer too, and i my favorite game is Dead Space, but i just wanted ya too know that there is an easier way to play Dead Space on PC, just buy a controller for a PC, they are around from 25-40 bucks, their real good, and almost work with any game

Well, i just have to say, what the hell were they thinking for even considering NOT bringing Dead Space 2 to the PC..Piracy..small sales figues etc... hogwash.. Dead Space on the PC was a hell of alot better than on the consoles. Well that's my opinion. lol. But on a serious note, I'm glad that its coming to PC. Now I can go try to finish the first one. Been too chicken to actually play the game for more that 20mins at a time. LMAO!

Oh yay, ANOTHER pc vs console debate! lol
Some games are always going to be better on consoles (god of war, kingdom hearts, MGS, etc), well other games will always be superior on the pc (WoW, starcraft, crysis, mass effect, etc). I gladly play both my gaming pc (i7 920/gtx295/12gig ddr3 ram/24 inch monitor/surround sound system) and my PS3/360 (32 inch lcd tv) for the various games that come out and cater more to their specific control and gameplay setups. I would not want to play god of war 3 on the 360, I would not want to play MW2 on the 360 or ps3, and I wouldn't want... wouldn't want... Well ok, the 360 is the least desired when it comes to it's controller, lol. It hurts the hand with alotta games! It can't be helped! XD

I honestly wish they would just add keyboard and mouse support to the consoles, and would keep titles like Crysis on the PC instead of trying to port them. Have you guys seen the textures and such for crysis 2? Giant step backward for gaming graphics, lol. Makes me pretty sad to see, and im not sure if I'll be playing it outside of downloading the single player now (maybe. might not even be worth it anymore).

Just wait till Starcraft 2, Diablo 3 and Star Wars: The Old Republic comes out and we'll see just how PC gaming has gone downhill. Those same console fanboys are probably going to wish they port the games to their Xbox and PS3.

This makes me so excited! I've only been gaming on a Pc for a little over a year now,always been a console fan. I still love my consoles but Pc gaming can't be beat imo. I was upset when I heard no DS2 for Pc, so glad that is no longer the case

I love how people automatically assume PC gaming is going down the crapper because of the sales numbers of physical copies of games, not taking into account things like Impulse, Steam and Direct2Drive.
Same for low PC sales. People who are PC gamers don't usually go out and buy a gaming PC every year, it's a steady process of upgrading select components of the PC over time.
Anyhow, glad to see DS2 on the PC as well, hope they don't carry over DS1's crappy aiming with v-sync enabled. As for handheld/mobile, can anyone say Dead Space 2: iPhone?

I hope they make the controls more PC friendly - I just got into Dead Space (original) and the controls are the only negative (mouse movement)
PC games have definitely been on the rise - what with SC2 coming out soon, too.

No disrespect to PC gamers, but I'm very shocked that EA is going to release this on PC. They are about making money that is how EA does things. And I know PC gaming has been going downhill as of late. So I'm going to assume that EA thinks this game is going to do huge sales numbers. And I Will Be Buying This First Day! Loved Dead Space!
