EA Registers

EA has filed a trio of trademarks for "Darkspore" (discovered by superannuation) in connection with "computer game software; Downloadable computer game software via a global computer network and wireless devices; Video game software," as well as action figures, movies and just about everything else entertainment related. No other information was revealed.

Do you think the previously revealed Spore sequel could feature a more sinister tone than the original game? That would be a welcome change from the cutesy presentation of the first game. I think you will agree evolution can be a dark and terrible process full of amorality and reward for effective murder.

I predict we will learn more about Darkspore at E3 this year, so keep your browser pointed to G4tv.com. Between June 15 and 17, we'll be bringing you everything at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, from previews to interviews to videos to news.
