I laid it all on the line yesterday when discussing the impact The Blair Witch Project had on me and the lasting impact it's had on my perception of the woods at night, aka they scare the living crap out of me and I won't go near them ever. Some folks chimed in with some of the things that spook them, but I wanted to toss a more pointed question to the morning audience at G4tv.com: what scares you?

That humans will never spend the money to leave earth and that by the time we are forced too we will have used up all needed resources and it will be too late. Our civilization will collapse into a dark age that we will never be able to leave since all the bridge fuels will have been consumed. You can't have an industrial revolution without oil and when its gone your screwed. No one is going from wood heat to nuclear fusion without the steps in between, steps that we are burning through right now. There is nothing wrong with burning oil but you should be using it to get to the next step, not just wasting it.
Also, Christians and republicans, but those are really part of the first fear.

Look up "Columbia Mo SWAT Raid 2/11/2010" on youtube. This is what scares me the most. I don't know how you feel about marijuana but this should never happen, especially in front of a child, over a very small amount of pot. The pit bull that was killed was apparently in the kitchen in a cage. Because if he was really going to attack an officer he would have been shot in the living room don't you think. The chief of police in Columbia, Mo is trying to say that the dog was going to kill them all if they didn't shoot it to death. There was a second dog (a tiny Corgi dog) shot in the leg while trying to kill the pit bull because the aim of the SWAT team is horrible. The sound of the dog/s is horrible you may not want to watch.

Stephen King's It, The Exorcist, falling, and Battleship The Movie.
I saw "It" while still in the single digits which resulted in my irrational fear of clowns.
I was raised Roman Catholic by my very religious family. So when I saw The Exorcist at age 6, I couldn't close my eyes without seeing Linda Blair's possessed face for an entire week.
As for falling, I was walking atop the monkey bars in the playground when I was 7 and fell through them catching myself on the bars with my armpits. Now I avoid heights like the plague and cringe whenever I see anyone fall or land hard on the ground be it real or fictitious.
Battleship The Movie should be self-explanatory. Not a fear of the movie itself, but a fear of what this prosaic cash grab represents for the future of entertainment.
