Today, Rockstar Games revealed that Red Dead Redemption will feature a free co-op mission pack! The extra multiplayer chapters will be released in June for Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
"The Outlaws to the End" DLC is full of "outlaws, epic gunfights and revolution" and will allow up to four players to complete six missions. It will feature trophies, achievements and XP, as you might expect. So far, we have details on three of the six missions -- official descriptions are under the "read more" tag.
“Walton’s Gold”
Walton’s Gang have taken control of a mining camp rich with gold. Fight through the camp and load your mine cart with as much gold as you can carry and get out as fast as you can – Walton’s boys have rigged the place to blow.
“The River”
Ride a raft down river, taking out rebel encampments along the way until you reach the rebel stronghold of Nosalida and a final epic battle for the town’s massive weapons caches. Watch out for Gatling gun-equipped enemy rafts.
“Ammunition”
The Mexican Army has the town of Tesoro Azul under siege. Storm the gates under heavy cannon, Gatling gun and sniper fire to destroy the Mexican artillery placements.
“Multiplayer in Red Dead Redemption offers players a whole new way to encounter the massive open world we’ve created, but we felt the experience would not be complete without co-op game play,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “With these missions, we wanted to create new ways for players to share in the experience of engaging with this amazing landscape.”

Man I don't know if I should pick this up or save my cash. I LOVE western games and I LOVE gta 4 and I always wanted a good western game and I have never played a really good one before, I have played red dead revolver and liked it, but there was something missing . I think I'm going to hold off until I play a copy then if I like it I will buy it. What do you guys think?

...Can I love a gaming company?
When ever someone announces Pre-release DLC I am always bummed, but then I saw free. Most try to justify it with something like, "we were going to put it in the game but it wasn't ready in time." I've never liked that excuse when they go and charge you for something they supposedly wanted in the original game. But without a price tag? You can take as long as you want.

This game is amazing, Hope there is splitscreen co-op with the DLC, but if there is not, i will still get it but i like to play with friends beside me and not taking turns...Lost Planet 2 has 4 player split screen and its gonna be SICK but not as AWEINSPIRING as Red Dear Redemption. R* Companies around the world are the Dons of open world Sandbox games even there Racing games were pretty good. But no open world sandbox game will ever match up to Red Dead Redemption! NONE! @_@

wow great news!!! we will be gettn more than our moneys worth with this one.....im sure the single player will take a while to beat like most of Rockstars open world games (mainly GTA) then we have the massive online mulitplayer and now a co-op pack........this will keep plenty of gamers playn for a long while......game play time = infinite houre @_@

I think its great that they let us know that DLC is coming, unlike some games (MW2) which took forever to get something to us and on that note...down with Modern Warfare 2 that game is full of cheaters and there is no skill in that game anymore and thats the reason i got rid of it, i say down with MW2, get rid of your copy to make them understand you won't stand for cheating
