Not long after Activision and Blizzard assigned a release date to StarCraft II, LucasArts has posted the official release date for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 via Facebook: October 26.
Precious few details about Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 have been made available since the game was announced, but surfacing magazine scans point to a massive reveal at June's E3.

Star wars force unleashed definately wowed me, i was surprised on how awesome it was, just the fun of swinging light sabers was.... FUN!, hope number 2 will be kick ass this time, like GOTY contestant kick ass =D

Yeah I played it on PS3 and had to fight the Emperor 2 extra times. The first time it just plain froze up while fighting the emperor. The second extra time he knocked me through the floor somehow and I was on a lower platform and could not get back up to where he was. Sucked. I'll still want to play the sequel.

I have played SWTFU over and over and on all difficulties on all the expansions as well and I do not see any of the problems people are constantly crying about unless it was problems with some system other than the PS3 version. The only "problem" was the fact that the Star Destroyer part was really really too hard to get the hang of but besides that there is nothing else to complain about. I just can't wait to see what they do with the story since he is supposed to be dead or serving emperor as a cyborg assassin

i did enjoy force unleashed 1, i am looking forward to the second, that little trailer looked sweet..though i didnt know there were creatures that could throw a full grown rancor that far

I loved the first star wars force unleashed. I don't understand why every one was like "ohhh yeah that game sucked". i think it was awesome there were some problems but it was not that bad..... I do wish that they would of made a Battle Front 3 before this game. But I am really really excited for this game.... And everyone stop complaining about the first one.

Lets hope all the little bugs are fixed for Force Unleashed 2 because I want to see what happens next in the story

Awesome. Can't wait to play it. Hopefully they fixed some of the visuals and got some decent motion capture for the cutscenes.

Finally, been waiting for news about this game since that little teaser. I loved the first one, although it had its flaws, the gameplay was still fun. Made you feel so powerful. Looking forward to what improvements they've made. Don't let me down LucasArts

While it is nice to hear some news about this game I have to admit my expectations are rather low. Like others have pointed out the story of SW: FU was great but the muddled combat, clumsy camera, and numerous bugs bogged down what many hoped would be the second coming of Jedi Knight.
That said why can't Lucas Arts work on the games people really want instead of living off the last gasping breaths of the prequel trilogy? Where is my new Jedi Knight game? What's the status of Battlefront 3? For the love of the Force why hasn't there been a new X-WING Vs. TIE FIGHTERE?!?!?1
Honestly a new game where Starkiller is likely going to be a clone and rehash much of the first one because...well what else can they do in the space between Episodes 3 & 4 without messing up the continuity with the coming Live Action series...why should we be excited? Hell my thumbs still ache just thinking about that damn Star Destroyer. Hell if nothing else at least the games abbreviation gets right to the point, SW:FU 2

October? That's like...1..3....carry the remainder.....7.....5 months away! I gotta wait 5 more months!? Thank GOD for the bounty of games coming out this summer. Should pass the time quite nicely till October 26th. So looking forward to this. Despite it's flaws, FU 1 was the best Star Wars game I had played in years. Give me something like the first game with more polish and a few extras and I'll be happy.

Sweet. I started taking off the end of October back in 2007 so I'll put in for that week too. The article in Gamepro was a good read, I highly recommend it.
@ cmluke - GP said the beginning of this game !SPOILER! takes place in the cloning facilty on Kamino.

I really enjoyed the first one I just hope they learn from the mistakes, and hope they never make another level like the "bring down the destroyer" OMG that was a crappy level.
