Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker isn't out for another month, but there is already talk about expanding the stealth-based PSP game to another platform. At the Konami "Bootcamp" press event last week, a Konami rep asked the gathered journalists what they thought of the idea of releasing the game for the PlayStation 3 through the PlayStation Network.
This doesn't mean there are plans for a release like that, of course, but it does indicate that Konami is at least considering the idea. And some in the room reported that Konami seemed extra interested in the reaction of the gathered writers.
So let me ask you guys the same question: What do you think of the release of the PSP Peace Walker on the PS3? Personally, I doubt it will happen until long after the release of the portable version. I think many people (like me) would play the game on PS3 only, and not buy the full-price PSP version at all, if I had the option.

Would be great to do this and all the other psp games. Anyone ever wonder why under your PS3 fat door with all those random memory slots, there couldn't have just been a umd slot. That would be great.

I think its a good idea, especially considering what Sterling said about the need to play the game cooperatively in order to progress. Finding other people to play Peace Walker with on the PSP will be nearly impossible for me, and most people never use the PSP's ad-hoc or infrastructure modes.

Sounds like a great idea. I won't need to spend ANY money on some portable device, that will just be collecting dust in a matter of months, to get my Metal Gear fix.

I'd love to not have to buy a PSP just for this game, but that's also what I don't like about it. Right now, that game is the only selling point for me to buy a PSP. If they bring it to the PS3, I won't want a PSP anymore. I really want Sony to be putting more attention on PSP even if it can't compete with DS sales.

I'll stick to the psp version. I have a feeling it will look like crap at 42 inches. As much Monster Hunter as I have played, the controls are no problem for me. Most people aren't going to pay full price for a psp version. They'll just download it for free. It's the death of the platform.

I would love it to happen, Sony really missed the ball by not letting downloaded PSP games work on the PS3. It would actually give me a reason to download PSP games which would promote the fail that was PSP GO as well.
