With the formation of "bungievison", obviously this means the end of the bungie and microsoft partnership, will this also mean the end of bungie releasing xbox exclusive content? And will the level of bungie's games slide being under what seems like a self-destructing company?
also can IW (what's left of it) and Bungie both be part of activision at the same time with them both fighting over large percentages of fps sales and online multiplayer? (I'm calling conspiracy on bungievisions part)

With games like Hydrophobia coming out, what are your thoughts on episodic gaming? Is it a viable method of delivering games and story? Are there any changes that need to take place in the standard game design work flow to make a working episodic game? Any suggestions on which types of games could best be done episodically?

After watching many of the interesting conversations on Feedback each week, I was wondering if any of the panel( Mr. Sessler in particular) has consider writing a book about video games and the controversy that sometimes surrounds them. Examples: What constitutes a good video game? The "Art" argument etc.

Do you feel that the iPad can be a viable gaming platform or will gamers still use their iPhones/iPod Touchs for their gaming needs? And if so, do you see the iPhone/iPad being able to pull the mindshare of more traditional gamers like it has the casual game market?

sorry to beat a rigor-mortis like horse (i dont want to ask 3D gaming), but im curious as to why if gamers can't consider video games as "art," then why can't we quantify a video game's value based on worth? we seem to point out good games when their price points are low, but why can't we do the same for the antithesis of that? why can't reviewers set the standard of reviewing based on price when the "medium" at hand is a product and NOT art?
if that doesn't fly, i'll try my hand at this: can patrick do the arm jig from the deadly premonition feedback from last week?

Do you think games are influenced to be released almost "unfinished" just to sell DLC. Even though selling a game that may not be 100% polished could reduce the initial rating of the game? And do you think that game companies that are very successful (That can sell games just on their company name) are more likely to release unpolished games? (Valve excluded.)

I told my roommate about the Halo: Reach beta today because he and some of my other friends are big fans of Halo 3. When I told him that some of the buttons were remapped, he seemed pretty turned off. Plus, he and the others won't play any other FPS besides Halo 3 because they don't want to have to learn a new control scheme. So, I guess my question is if there are any other gamers out there who don't like learning new control schemes even if the game is really fun?

Activision & Bungie. So i get why it's a big deal but we're not going to see anything come of it for while so does it make sense to get to worked up about it at this point. I guess what I'm asking is do you think this merger will actually yield something as massive as it seems or is it just a cry for attention the may not service any results at all?
angel12791
why do so few people think the Bungie, Activision, deal is a bad thing? I Love Halo and hate to see the end so soon but if they have a better game that they are making, I think they know best
P.S.
Do you think that we will see more Halo from a new publisher

Currently 3D gaming has been a big issue thanks to the attention given to TVs, consoles, glasses, and all other bits and pieces of hardware we would need to buy, even though the 3D experience may not be all that it is said to be. However, no one seems to recognize the 3DS, with its rumored October release, as a test experience for what is to come to consoles in 3D. Do you think that the 3DS will serve as a prototype for the 3D experience, especially with the added bonus of not having to buy extras (like a 3D TV or extra glasses...supposedly)? Or, is the 3DS in a league by itself, acting only as a little gadget with 3D capabilities that won't necessarily represent the future of gaming as a whole?

My most enjoyable and also my first 3D experience was watching Avatar. Now the thing that I most enjoyed about the 3D, is that it wasn't overbearing. It flowed nicely with visuals on screen. It blended well and only enhanced my experience. If and when 3D gaming comes which I think by now we cant deny that it will come, must be introduced seamlessly and be made to enhance our experience. Innovation can often be considered scary and unpredictable, but there is always room for it. This gen of consoles are still pumping out high quality games and with every new release there seems to be a new step in gameplay, story, character design, visuals, and presentation, and with new motion controllers on the way our gaming experience will only be enhanced further. The merging of new tech and new ideas will only make the games of the future that much more pleasurable and look forward to the new innovations that will be coming our way.

As someone who doesn't own a Xbox 360 or a Playstation 3, I've had to contend with both sides of the console war trying to recruit me into one camp or the other. From what I've seen and heard Microsoft spends money on getting 360 exclusives,(Which has been working pretty well for them), while Sony spends their money on good hardware. So my question is this, when will more developers start seeing the opprotunities of being multi platform, or will some keep getting attracted to the money?

When will we see a weekly sitcom centered around video games, either the funny side of development or even on the journalistic side? With the success of The Big Bang Theory on CBS, there is untapped potential here, yet no-one is really capitalizing on it.

How do you decide who reviews video games based on movies, especially if its a major release film like iron man 2?

What's the chances of Blizzard making a Call of Duty MMO?

The Passing was released a couple of weeks ago and while it's free for steam users it's going to cost LIVE customers more money, as usual. This isn't the first time this has happened and it won't be the last. Why is it that people put up with this junk? I happen to own every console and a gaming PC, so I simply refuse to pay for LIVE or anything on it but I've always been confused as to why more people don't do the same. Every platform before or after the launch of LIVE has provided gamers with FREE multiplayer support. If people continue to validate Microsoft's business model, sooner or later I'll have to buy my multi-player games exclusively for my PC. Is GEARS and Halo multiplayer really so good that it makes up for the unprecedented monthly fee and the outright ripping off of consumers by charging for DLC PC gamers get for free?

What is your best memory when playing a video game? Does this in a way, help you enjoy a game better if you play it during a really happy time in your life?

I've been wondering whether or not mainstream 2D games will ever die. First I thought they would die off in the consoles but then I was introduced to a gameboy. With the PSP and DS it looked like 2D would die off there or in the next gen of handhelds. Now phones are starting to have games.
My question is barring fighters, nostalgic remakes, or downloadable games do you think that 2D in mainstream gaming will die off or will games just continue to be featured in more things which will start their evolution cycle back at 2D?
If you're wondering why I'm concerned, I grew up with the original Playstation and have considered old 2D games to be ancient relics.

With The World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Alpha offically starting today and a street date for Starcraft 2 set for the 27th of July, I was wondering do you see Blizzard (and by proxy Activision) hurting themselves by setting these so close together. We might not see the open beta for cataclysm for two or three months but that sets it barely one month after SC:2. Most of Blizzards fan-base migrates to whichever game is the latest so will they hurt themselves by having these so close together?
