After Black Ops was announced and given a release date and also them announcing the Bungie project, do you think Activision is trying to get people to focus less on the Infinity Ward lawsuit, or do you think they're trying to use the attention that they have just gotten because of the lawsuit?

I have played much of the Reach beta and wanted to ask if you think that the campaign will be better than the other Halo games (what I mean is actually coherent and not just mindless killing) or if it will rely most on the multiplayer.

I meant to post this a while back. As far as the Playstation Move first I'd like agree entirly that there needs to be a good lightsaber game.. Second the whole time I was watching the sony press conference all I was thinkin was "I can't wait for GOW3" though i was slightly intriged by a "better" motion control expierience that is where thoughts rested. Until I saw the street fighting where u use two PS Move controller then I got thinking about GOW and if they could incorporate the move and make it work.. with out ruining it.. Do you think it is possible and what are your thoughts if a GOW did use the Move.

With the release of the black Wii on the horizon, my question is..is a little to late? With so many Wii's being sold why a color change this late in the cycle? When is Nintendo going to say enough already, lets get the Wii 2 going and will the DS model releases ever come to a halt until the next great handheld comes out..no, i don't mean the 3DS.

Like every other nerd and geek or frat boy that has nothing else to do I've been playing the Halo: Reach Beta and have been enjoying myself except for when I'm a Scout. Having to click to run and click again to stop running doesn't make sense, the controls should be like the Guard Class hold to activate and releasing the bumper stops the run that's my only quarrel. My question is about the "armor upgrades", do they actually give any boost are is it all cosmetic? By reading the description for some of these items you get the impression that they give a boost to the player. This seems very similar to the Modern Warfare and Rainbow Six ranking system however, with either game if you kill the player with a gun only that rank can use you are able to use that gun. Can't steal another players power armor after killing them like in the wastelands of Fallout 3.

Do you ever think a time will come where graphics will be judged more on stylistic merit and not technical achievement? Graphical advancement reaching a kind of plateau, for example. When reality can be perfectly recreated. Where do you go from there?
OR ...
All of you finish Deadly Premonition and interpret the ending for me. Spoilers be damned.

A few shows ago you talked about how if the IW and COD branding of the game was important to it being successful. My question is do you think this will apply to Halo now that Bungie is no longer making the games after Reach?
Also, on the Activision & Bungie deal, do you see this as a loss for MS in the sense that more then not Bungie's next game will be on both PS3 and Xbox 360. Their is a good chance we could see Bungie showing off their game on Sony's E3 stage down the road. You think this would be as big of impact as Kojima being on MS Stage and FF13 being announced for the Xbox?

I've already brought up this potential a few times in other posts, but I figure now is as good a time as any to try and get you guys to discuss it.
Do you think that Halo: Reach will incorporate any Natal compatibility?
Before everyone starts running around screaming about how it will ruin the game--and I agree that motion controls on Halo WOULD ruin it--but I'm not talking about Natal's motion capabilities.
Since Lionhead's demonstration of 'Milo', I've been chomping at the bit to see other developers take the first step into what would be a PRACTICAL application for Natal on Hardcore games! Voice Recognition.
I don't mean in Multiplayer--of course--but in the Campaign and Co-Op modes, wouldn't it be useful to have the ability to command the other members of Noble Squad--or other NPC soldiers, to perform simple actions like 'flanking', 'take up a sniping position', ect? Obviously it wouldn't give you an insane amount of control--but I feel some people would agree that having -some- control over NPCs, in an FPS campaign would be a live saver in many ways. Especially if that control is on the fly and doesn't take your fingers away from what you're trying to do at that moment--and it avoids messy menuing systems like Mass Effect that would slow down a traditional FPS.
On that note--do you think that games like Mass Effect 3 or the next iterations of Dragon Age might incorporate voice controls into the battles for their 360 releases?
Usually I would say this is a horrible gimmick and wouldn't improve game play as much as it would frustrate you, but in this came the voice control would be completely optional, and if they could do anything even close to the impressive things Lionhead Studios has done with their 'Milo' mock-up...I think it could be a new area for hardcore games to step into, and potentially a very cool way to go.

Do you think there will be a time were a person on a Playstation, Xbox or Wii will be able to play in an online match in the same game at the same time? Like a person playing madden (or some other multi platform game )on a Playstation will be able to talk trash to their opponent on a Xbox.. I don t think Sony or Microsoft would be interested in anything like this but, the prospect of being able to market the ranking system in the online aspect of the game as being the best in world not just on your counsull, should be appealing. Keep in mind I know vary little about the programming side of creating a multiplatforming game, but if you could create something like a web page the online mode links two and play from there it should be possible( operating under the assumption that you can view the same webpage from a PC or mac with relative ease) with that being said I understand that more go s in to programing a game than a webpage, but something like this would be highly lucrative to activision or ea . Even if it would mean subscribing to some kind of third party service I would gladly pay a reasonable price to show x box users how we play on the ps3.
Ps I can t spell so go easy on me

I travel alot for work and dont have an internet connection good enough for running my 360 or PS3 online. At first it bothered me not being able to play multiplayer, but then I realized I was having more fun playing by myself and basically doing what I wanted as opposed to tryin to work with someone else's style of play towards getting the victory(well that and I dont have to listen to a bunch of kids yammering on about there EPIC last round or how annoying someone else was the round before. I havent played MW2 or Halo 3 forever because of this.)
Are there any games out there you would that are multiplayer only, or more geared towards Multiplayer that you wish were just single player games?

Does anyone think the new Prince of Persia game will be good enough to get? I've seen trailers and know it's not a movie game (thank god) but it also seemed kinda rushed. Will Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands hold to it's predecessors?

First off long time follower first time poster (always wanted to say that :D)
In regards to Halo: Reach,
Over the course of the Halo franchise we have seen the game evolve and change forms many time (starting all the way back with the beta for Mac's which was suppose to be a RPG, to increasingly more complicated Halo 3 in terms of weapon choices, to the RTS by Ensemble), to the point where with Halo: Reach it is seems to be a simplified version almost taking the franchise back to "Combat Evolved". Do you see this as good thing? And do you think this an appropriate way to end the Halo/Bungie franchise? (I do realize that it is a Beta and things are going to change, but its usually a good indicator of the direction of the final product.)

Do you believe that adding beta access in another game, like with Halo: Reach in O.D.S.T, is a good marketing strategy or just a gimmick. I for one was bored with O.D.S.T and sold it and therefore was left out of the beta. Do you think it was wise to promote a game so early from release or an intelligent thing to do. And if you believe it was smart why don't more big titles try this approach. (Call Of Duty, Gears of War, etc.)

So I was reading about how Sony wants to make an Uncharted film. I really wonder why the company would want to make such a movie. Uncharted 2 and to some degree Uncharted 1 are both so much like movies that it seems like they would just be removing the interactive aspect.Video games are becoming so cinematic and movie like that it seems like pretty soon they might even replace films, or at least action movies, do you think this is a possibility?

With the Halo Reach Beta out now, I wonder why more big name game series like Call of Duty and Gears of War don't have beta's? Wouldn't they act as advertising and help fix a lot of the problems with things like glitches and other problems with their games, I just don't see why not to have a beta besides things like time constraints.

May 12th is the Launch of Basilisk Game's Eschalon: Book II. The first was a great Old School Isometric CRPG, and I've got high-hopes for this one. Meanwhile, one of the largest developers in the world sign on with the biggest publisher in the world. Why?! Tiny little studios are putting out amazing games on their own, but huge, and often-amazing, studios can't be bothered to put up their own money to make similarly-amazing games? I'm baffled, honestly, by the continued success and incarnation of major publishing houses. How is there NOT more IWs around? The sensible course seems to be get your chops with a couple downloads, get your big concept together, and present it independently to the publishers. Maybe this is too idealistic, but I think studios would be motivated, gaming would benefit, and major decisions would be taken out of the hands of people's who's not only primarily, but almost solely, motivated by money. There's always going to be shovel-ware, but why are the people responsible for it also responsible for the games that could stand on their own? Who WANTS to be affiliated with such an entity? Why isn't my gaming world perfect?

On Project Natal: With Wii games (or any other motion-control games), many games have to resort to on-rails movement. As a 360 owner, I always felt that if I wanted to play a light gun game on rails I would visit my local arcade. Is Project Natal doomed to the same limitations? Will I have to use the controller in my left hand to move my character whilst flapping my right arm about in order to perform an action?

It seems like the type of RPG where your character is your own, and you get to make the moral choices that decides the kind of person your character is, are becoming more and more popular (for example Fallout3 or Mass Effect). Do you feel that when people play these games, they play them to express a hidden sides of their personality, reflect their own personality, or just decide beforehand what kind of person they will be to see how the game plays out?
Also do you think this type of RPG should get its own genre since it is so different from what we traditionally think of an RPG as (Final Fantasy, Pokemon), or do think it defines what RPG is better then the traditional RPGs?
Aft3rshokkt
While 3D may be just another gimmick, do you think that it is possible that developers will combine both the technology of Natal and 3D for an extremely immersive gameplay experience?

Halo Reach is currently Bungie's last Halo game for now. Do you think Microsoft can get a developer to produce additional Halo games with the same quality and passion as Bungie? I hope so, but I'll probably be skeptical until I try some demos. What's you thoughts?
