Who knows when (or if) we'll see another Modern Warfare, but Activision has no plans to stall the Call of Duty franchise. The next installment, Call of Duty: Black Ops, comes courtesy of Treyarch, who last developed Call of Duty: World at War. The first trailer is available below:
Call of Duty: Black Ops will be released on November 9.

it almost seems like its gonna be like Assassins Creed. He was sitting in a chair and it seems like they were revisiting someones past.
Also stop complaining about how Treyarch was never as good as WI last i checked Treyarch isn't the one being dismantled by the lead designers. In my opinion Treyarch always made better games than IW ever did and alot less Glitchy,
And another thing. Here's hoping for some new Zombie thing in COD:BO's

I am thoroughly impressed... looks like a whole range of missions all through out the cold war?... maybe?... im sure they'll let us know at E3 but this looks truly epic... i underestimated you treyarch

Call of Duty : Black Ops? Don't you mean Battlefield Bad Company 2?

seems interesting... but I'll remain skeptical since this is the treyarch ones, which I find, while good, not as great as the (former) IW ones... also activision.......

Yea even with the IW-Activision debacle you can't blame treyarch, they aren't the ones who are in the wrong, support those who work tirelessly everynight on games like these.

Rejoice, fellow gamers. It seems we may never see another World War II video game again! Praise the Great Gamer on High!

ok, here is my breakdown on the tralier
there are many weapons seem throughtout the tralier(duh) such as the steyr AUG, which started production in 1978( suggesting some cold war shenannigins). also, the information that i've procured from the interwebs states that along with vietnam, there will also be some cuban and artic locales( briefly viewed in this tralier). i also noticed that it may have appeared that there was a soldier(who looked alot like tugg speedman from tropic thunder) that showed up in the tralier. he may be either a fellow protagonist, the player, or an A.I . if you look closely, at one time in the tralier he was firing an M4( i base this on the fact that the M4 has a telescoping stock, along with the weapon Mr. speedman was firing). nonetheless, i feel that this call of duty will have a very unique story that will play around with it's "semi-modern" astetics, weapons.
JustTheBeginning
Looks like same old "new" Call of Duty (ie: tons of over the top action that makes little to no sense in real life)

Im guessing that a guy who was involved in a whole bunch of missions got caught. Now hes being tortured for answers. Would be an interesting plotline, the missions are flashbacks or things you tell the person torturing you. Smells like epicness.
And is it me, or do they flash Ghost around 0:21-0:22?

looks like it's gonna be good, I mean has the COD series ever let us down?

I cannot wait for this one. I am curious to see if they have learned from the mistake that was world at war.

Looks awesome but like the MW2 trailer, I haven't learned anything. Other than it not being set during the Vietnam war.
